I am an independent insurance adjuster based in the U.S. handling property and flood claims (including NFIP) across multiple carriers. I’m seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, part time available during flood storms Claims Assistant to help with administrative and estimating support so I can focus on field work and file handling. This is a part-time remote position with long-term potential. Need to be knowledgable in NFIP flood documents, estimating and claims requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with preparing and organizing claim files
• Enter claim data into Xactimate, XactAnalysis, and other carrier platforms
• Upload documents, estimates, photos, and reports to claim files
• Review and organize field notes, label photos, and loss information for file submission
• Monitor claim status and help track deadlines and required documents
• Draft estimates (when trained and appropriate) based on field notes and photos
• Communicate with me regularly for task updates and file status
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and organization of claim documentation
• Label Photos and sketch buildings
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in property insurance claims or adjusting support
• Familiarity with Xactimate (X1 version preferred)
• Understanding of NFIP and flood claims, estimating and forms process in Xactimate
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Able to follow instructions and meet deadlines
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Reliable internet connection and home office setup
• Trustworthy, dependable, and able to handle confidential information
• Flexible to work when we have claims and in a constant changing environment
Preferred (but not required):
• Experience with ExactAnalysis, Symbility, Hover.to and/or other claim management systems
• Previous work with U.S.-based adjusters or adjusting firms
• Knowledge of NFIP and other insurance policy language and claim processes
Compensation:
• Competitive hourly pay based on experience
• Weekly payment
• Part-time to start, with potential for more hours as we grow
