JOB OVERVIEW

US$15/hour · Around 15 hours per week · Remote

Hi, I’m Miko. I created Sketchpad, an online drawing tool, and I spend most of my time on the product, engineering and creative side.

I’m looking for someone who enjoys talking with customers, finding useful business opportunities and following through to make sales. I’d like to build a working relationship with someone kind, thoughtful and comfortable bringing their own ideas.

Sketchpad has an established audience, but there’s plenty of work to do on the business side. Your job would be to help us understand what people need, find offers we can deliver well and build steady, profitable revenue.

Customers can buy a paid version of Sketchpad for drawing and design work. We’ll look at ways to grow those sales and explore suitable opportunities with schools and businesses. We’ll agree on which customers and offers to focus on first, prioritizing things we can sell repeatedly without substantial custom development. You can explore Sketchpad at ---------- .

What you’d do

• Talk with customers and potential customers about their needs.
• Follow up on inquiries and pursue promising sales opportunities.
• Help improve our offers based on what you hear.
• Build relationships that lead to sales, renewals and repeat business.
• Keep a simple record of conversations, next steps and results.
• Recommend where we should focus our time and explain your reasoning.

We’ll start customer conversations and sales follow-ups in the first week while you learn the business. I’ll share the context, research and ideas we already have. You’re welcome to question them and suggest something better.

By the end of the first month, we should have active customer conversations, a clear list of sales opportunities and evidence about which offers are worth pursuing. We’ll review any sales or renewals, what we learned and where to focus next.

Who I’d like to work with

You’ve personally helped make sales, retain customers or increase revenue, and you can explain what you did. Your examples don’t need to involve a big company or impressive numbers. I’m interested in your contribution and what you learned.

You communicate clearly, treat people well and follow through. You can work independently, ask for help when you need it and disagree thoughtfully.

How we’d work together

We’ll have regular check-ins, especially at the beginning, with independent work between them. We’ll agree on priorities and what you can d ---------- yourself. I’ll approve spending, pricing changes, discounts, contracts and commitments involving the product or partnerships.

Starting pay is US$15/hour for around 15 hours per week, within an initial budget of US$1,000 per month. We’ll agree on the schedule and monthly hours limit before starting.

I hope this can become a long-term role. As the business develops and your responsibilities grow, we’ll review the scope and pay together.

To apply

Please send:

1. A short introduction and your CV or work summary.
2. One sale, renewal or revenue improvement you personally helped achieve. What did you do, and what happened?
3. What you’d want to learn about Sketchpad before d ---------- where to focus.
4. Your availability and earliest start date.

Keep it straightforward. Specific examples and your own thinking will help me get to know you.
