JOB OVERVIEW

We’re a sports ecommerce business looking for an experienced outreach assistant to secure relevant website coverage and backlinks.

Responsibilities

- Research relevant football, rugby, GAA, sports and gift websites.
- Find suitable contacts, write personalised pitches and follow up.
- Pitch our stories, original data and expert contributions.
- Maintain an outreach tracker and submit a weekly progress report.

For each proposed website, provide

- Website URL and Ahrefs Domain Rating (DR), with the date checked.
- Estimated organic traffic and main audience countries, naming the data source. Mark unavailable data clearly.
- Why the website and its audience are relevant to our business.
- Proposed pitch and the page on our website it would link to.
- Any placement costs and whether content needs to be supplied.

Deliverables

- Research 15 relevant prospects and send 10 personalised pitches weekly.
- Target four published backlinks per month from four different approved websites, following an initial two-week setup period.
- Report outreach, follow-ups, responses and published links each week.

Quality requirements
Prioritise genuine websites with relevant audiences. High DR alone is insufficient. No link farms, private blog networks, comment spam or bulk backlink packages. Websites require approval before outreach; any costs require separate approval.
