Role Overview
This role is centred on documentation and drafting support.
Your work will directly contribute to planning submissions, construction documentation, and model coordination.
You will be responsible for:
* Preparing and updating town planning drawing sets
* Producing working drawings for construction documentation
* Creating dimensioned plans, annotations, and detailed notes
* Developing door and window schedules
* Working from marked-up drawings to accurately update documentation
* Assisting with ArchiCAD model setup, cleanup, and sheet layouts
* Exporting models to Twinmotion where required
Software Requirements
Essential:
* Strong proficiency in ArchiCAD (Version 27 preferred, earlier versions acceptable)
Preferred:
* Basic AutoCAD experience (for handling DWG files)
* Familiarity with Twinmotion or similar rendering software
Requirements (Do Not Apply If You Do Not Meet These)
* Proven ability to produce accurate and consistent documentation in ArchiCAD
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow markups precisely
* Good understanding of drawing presentation and documentation standards
* Ability to work within existing templates and maintain consistency across drawing sets
* Fluent English (written and professional communication level)
* Reliable, organised, and able to meet deadlines consistently
Knowledge & Experience (Preferred, Not Essential)
* Experience in residential documentation
* Exposure to Australian building documentation standards
* Understanding of planning drawings and approval processes
* Awareness of National Construction Code (NCC 2022) and ResCode (Clause 54/55)
* Experience with childcare (Class 9b) projects is beneficial
Note:
Experience with Victorian childcare compliance is not required. Training and guidance will be provided, but a willingness to learn is essential.
