About Wandering Lion
Wandering Lion is a strategy-led growth studio helping founder-led businesses build premium brands, install scalable growth systems, and generate measurable commercial outcomes — without chaos. We do not sell marketing activity for the sake of it. We build structured growth systems that connect brand, performance, systems, and reporting to real business results.
Our model is disciplined: foundation first, then build, then scale. That means we care deeply about clarity, accountability, and making sure paid media works inside a stronger commercial system — not in isolation.
The Role
We are looking for a commercially sharp Performance Marketing Manager to lead campaign execution, optimisation, and channel development across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other current or emerging paid acquisition platforms.
This role is not limited to today’s core channels. As the business grows, this position may also support expansion into additional advertising ecosystems, marketing technology, AI-enabled tools, automation platforms, and other digital growth systems that improve performance, reporting, and operational efficiency.
This is not a button-pushing media buying role. We want someone who understands that ads amplify clarity — they do not create it — and who can help translate strategy into efficient, measurable growth.
You will work across founder-led brands that need more than clicks and impressions. They need disciplined media execution, better conversion performance, clearer reporting, and someone who understands the commercial outcome behind the spend. Our ideal clients value structure, proof, and accountability, so your work must reflect that standard.
Key Responsibilities
Paid media strategy and planning
Build channel strategies across Google, Meta, and other relevant paid platforms based on client goals, audience behaviour, customer journey stage, and conversion priorities.
Campaign setup and execution
Launch, manage, and optimise campaigns across search, display, remarketing, paid social, and future paid channels where appropriate.
Audience, keyword, and market research
Conduct keyword research, audience segmentation, competitor review, and targeting refinement to improve efficiency and lead quality.
Creative and messaging alignment
Work closely with strategy and creative to ensure ad messaging reflects the brand, strengthens trust, and supports conversion.
Testing and optimisation
Run structured tests across headlines, copy, creative, offers, landing pages, audience segments, and funnel stages to improve performance over time.
Budget and bid management
Allocate spend carefully, adjust bids based on performance, and manage budgets with commercial discipline.
Performance reporting
Translate campaign and funnel data into clear reporting that explains what happened, what it means, and what we do next.
Technology and AI adoption
Help identify and implement useful tools, AI software, automation workflows, and platform enhancements that improve campaign performance, efficiency, internal reporting, or client delivery.
Conversion and systems thinking
Monitor lead quality, conversion paths, attribution, and funnel performance — not just platfor
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience managing Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts with measurable results
Strong understanding of paid media fundamentals, attribution, conversion tracking, and optimisation
Confidence learning and adapting to new advertising platforms, AI tools, and digital systems as the role evolves
Ability to think beyond platfor
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain performance clearly
A structured, accountable, detail-driven approach to campaign management
Comfort working in a business that values quality over volume and clarity over noise
Preferred
Experience across service-based businesses, eCommerce, trades, or founder-led brands
Familiarity with landing page optimisation and CRO principles
Experience using AI tools, automation platforms, reporting dashboards, or workflow software to improve marketing operations
Google Ads certifications
Meta advertising certifications
Experience using CRM, analytics, and reporting platforms
What Success Looks Like in This Role
Campaigns are well-structured, well-managed, and commercially aligned
Reporting is clear, useful, and trusted by clients
Paid media performance improves through disciplined testing and optimisation
Useful tools and systems are introduced where they genuinely improve efficiency or outcomes
Clients feel confident that spend is being managed with accountability
You contribute to a premium client experience, not just campaign delivery
Why Join Wandering Lion

You’ll be part of a strategy-led model, not random execution
You’ll collaborate with a team that values standards, structure, and outcomes
You’ll help build growth systems that genuinely move businesses forward
