About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Packaging Design Engineer with deep technical expertise in SolidWorks and hands-on experience in food and FMCG packaging development.
This role is engineering-focused. You will be responsible for creating production-ready packaging designs, validating form and function, and supporting commercialization through accurate CAD models and technical documentation.
Marketing graphics are already handled by a separate team—this role is strictly technical.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop packaging structures and mechanisms using SolidWorks.
• Create manufacturing-ready CAD models, assemblies, and drawings.
• Develop and refine portion-control, dispensing, sealing, and opening mechanisms.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to ensure designs are scalable and production-feasible.
• Prepare technical documentation, including dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Support prototype development, testing, and iteration.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams to translate concepts into viable packaging formats.
• Ensure designs comply with food packaging standards and functional performance requirements.
• Manage multiple technical design projects while meeting development timelines.

Required Qualifications
• 5–10 years of experience in packaging engineering or packaging design.
• Advanced SolidWorks proficiency (mandatory).
• Proven experience in food, beverage, or FMCG packaging development.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, sealing methods, dispensing systems, and usability.
• Experience producing detailed technical drawings for tooling and manufacturing.
• Familiarity with prototype-to-production workflows.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.

Highly Desirable (Not Mandatory)
• Experience with flexible packaging, spouted pouches, portion packs, or dispensing systems.
• Exposure to Blender, CAD, or visualization tools for technical rendering.
• Experience working with co-packers, converters, or tooling suppliers.
• Understanding of food safety and compliance considerations (FDA, EU, etc.).
