About Kadia Fulfillment

Kadia Fulfillment is a fast-growing gifting studio and brand operations company based in Dallas, Texas. We design, assemble, and ship custom PR boxes, influencer gifting campaigns, and retail gift collections for beauty, lifestyle, and fashion brands across the United States. Our clients include brands distributed through Macy's, Bloomingdale's, and sold on Amazon and direct-to-consumer.
We are expanding our creative team and are looking for a talented, detail-obsessed packaging and box designer to join us as a remote contractor. This role is critical — the design of our boxes is the first thing an influencer sees, and it determines whether they post or not.

The Role
We are hiring a Packaging & Box Designer on a project-by-project contract basis. You will be responsible for creating the visual design and structural layout (dieline) of custom gift boxes, mailer boxes, and inserts for our client campaigns. You will work closely with our studio director to bring each campaign's creative brief to life in a way that is beautiful, on-brand, and print-ready.
This is a remote, part-time contractor position. You will be paid per project. As Kadia grows, high-performing designers will have the opportunity for more frequent and larger projects.

What You'll Be Designing

Custom gift boxes (rigid, collapsible, magnetic closure, sleeve boxes)
Custom mailer boxes (corrugated, e-commerce style)
Box inserts — tray liners, foam inserts, dividers, crinkle fill layouts
Printed tissue paper with custom patterns or branding
Branded cards, thank-you notes, product cards, and stickers
Custom ribbon and label designs
3D mockup renderings for client approval before production


Requirements — Must Have
Adobe Illustrator — Expert level. All dielines and print files must be delivered in .AI or .PDF format. This is non-negotiable.
Adobe Photoshop — Proficient. Used for 3D box mockup creation and visual presentations for client approval.
Dieline Knowledge — Must understand box construction and how a flat dieline becomes a 3D box. Experience with structural packaging design required.
Print Specifications — Must know CMYK color mode, bleed (3mm minimum), safe zone, resolution (300 DPI minimum), and print-ready file setup.
Portfolio — Must include at least 3 examples of packaging or box design work. Rigid boxes, gift boxes, or mailer boxes preferred.
English Communication — Must be able to read and understand creative briefs written in English and communicate clearly via email or Slack.
Turnaround Time — Must be able to deliver first drafts within 3–5 business days of receiving the brief. Rush turnaround of 48 hours required occasionally.

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)

Experience with packaging for beauty, cosmetics, or skincare brands
Canva Pro proficiency for client-facing mockup presentations
Experience with printing supplier portals — Lumi, Packlane, PakFactory
3D rendering skills — Cinema 4D, Blender, or Keyshot — for photorealistic mockups
Structural engineering knowledge for complex box constructions
Experience designing for both US and overseas manufacturers


How Projects Work
Step 1 — Brief Sent: Kadia sends you a written creative brief including brand colors, campaign theme, box size, number of pieces, materials, and reference images.
Step 2 — First Draft: You deliver 1–2 design concepts in 3–5 business days. Deliverables are a flat design on dieline (.AI file) and a 3D mockup image (.JPG or .PNG).
Step 3 — Revisions: Up to 2 rounds of revisions are included. Additional revisions are billed at an agreed hourly rate.
Step 4 — Print-Ready File: Final approved design delivered as a print-ready PDF (CMYK, 300 DPI, with bleed and crop marks) AND an editable .AI source file.
Step 5 — Payment: Payment sent via PayPal or Wise within 3 business days of final file delivery and approval.

Compensation
Simple mailer box design (1 piece) — $80 to $150. One dieline and 3D mockup. Straightforward brand application.
Gift box with insert design (2–3 pieces) — $150 to $300. Box, tray liner, and insert card. Most common project type.
Full campaign kit (5+ pieces) — $300 to $600. Box, tissue, card, sticker, ribbon, and outer wrap. Full gifting studio package.
Rush delivery (48 hours) — add 25% on top of the base rate. Must confirm availability first.
Top performers who deliver consistently and build trust with our team will receive first priority on all new projects and may be offered a monthly minimum guarantee as volume grows.
