About Us
We’re a performance-driven digital marketing agency specializing in lead generation for real estate agents and brokerages across North America. We build and manage high-performing ad campaigns that drive measurable results for our clients, and we’re growing our team to keep raising the bar.
About the Role
As PPC Manager, you’ll be the senior paid search authority on the team — responsible for the overall health and performance of our client accounts, the quality of work produced by our PPC Specialists, and the technical standards that underpin everything we build and track.
In addition to overseeing the team and portfolio, you'll personally manage a select group of our highest-value client accounts — hands-on, end to end. These are our largest budgets and most demanding clients, and they deserve our most senior expertise.
You’re an experienced PPC professional who can zoom out to assess portfolio-level performance and zoom in to diagnose a broken conversion tag or untangle a complex account issue. You’re a builder and an operator: you set the standard, ensure the team meets it, and aren’t above getting your hands dirty when accounts need it.
Key Responsibilities
Account Oversight & Performance Management
Maintain a high-level view across all active client accounts, monitoring performance trends and ensuring accounts are hitting lead volume and cost-per-lead targets
Hold PPC Specialists accountable to campaign quality standards — reviewing work, identifying gaps, and stepping in to course-correct where needed
Conduct regular account audits to catch structural issues, budget inefficiencies, or performance drift before they escalate
Own the performance conversation: understand what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to change across the portfolio
Direct Management of Key Accounts
Personally own and manage a portfolio of high-spend, high-priority client accounts — strategy, optimization, testing, and performance are yours end to end
Apply advanced optimization and bidding strategies on these accounts, and use them as the proving ground for tactics that can be rolled out across the broader portfolio
Partner closely with Account Managers on these clients to ensure performance insights are communicated clearly and proactively
Treat these accounts as the standard-setters — the work here should model what "great" looks like for the rest of the team
Campaign Building
Build new paid search campaigns from scratch across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, including structure, targeting, bidding, and ad copy
Set the template and standard for how campaigns are built so Specialists can execute consistently and at scale
Ensure all campaigns — whether built by you or the team — are correctly structured for geographic targeting, ad relevance, keyword intent, and lead quality
Troubleshooting & Technical Escalations
Serve as the go-to resource for complex account issues that fall outside the Specialists’ scope — performance anomalies, tracking failures, platform errors, and edge cases
Diagnose and resolve conversion tracking issues using Google Tag Manager, GA4, and platform-native tools
Write and modify tracking code (JavaScript, HTML) as needed for tag implementation and troubleshooting — this is a hands-on requirement
Coordinate with developers or Account Managers when issues require cross-functional resolution
Quality Control & Standards
Define and maintain QA standards for campaign builds, tracking setups, and account management practices
Review Specialist work at key checkpoints — pre-launch, post-launch, and ongoing — to ensure quality and consistency
Identify recurring issues or gaps in execution and address them through training, process updates, or SOP refinement
Automation, AI & Efficiency
Build and manage Google Ads scripts and automation rules to streamline recurring tasks and improve efficiency across the portfolio
Actively use AI-powered tools in your workflow and encourage the team to do the same — for copy, analysis, troubleshooting, or process improvement
Identify opportunities to systematize or automate work and bring those improvements to the broader team
Process & Documentation
Own and evolve internal SOPs for campaign builds, QA, tracking, and account management so processes are scalable and not dependent on any one person
Document troubleshooting approaches, edge cases, and solutions so the team builds institutional knowledge over time
Stay ahead of platform updates and best practices — and translate what’s relevant into actionable guidance for the team
Requirements
Must-Have
5+ years of hands-on PPC campaign management in an agency environment, with a strong and demonstrable track record
Expert-level proficiency in Google Ads — you can build, audit, troubleshoot, and optimize accounts independently and set the standard for others
Solid experience with Microsoft Advertising and both Google Ads Editor and Microsoft Ads Editor
Deep, practical knowledge of Google Tag Manager and GA4 for conversion tracking setup, troubleshooting, and QA
Hands-on ability to read and write JavaScript and HTML for tag and tracking implementations — required, not optional
Demonstrated experience overseeing or reviewing the work of other PPC practitioners, whether formally or informally
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex account and tracking issues and see them through to resolution
Experience with Google Ads scripts or other automation tools
Working knowledge of AI tools applied to PPC workflows
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to hold a portfolio view across multiple clients without losing sight of the details
Located in the Greater Toronto Area or Hamilton region — remote role with occasional in-person team events
Nice-to-Have
Background in real estate, home services, or local lead generation
Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, or GA4 certifications
Experience building or owning agency SOPs and internal process documentation
Familiarity with Google Looker Studio for client reporting and dashboards

You’ll work with these tools regularly — we’re looking for someone who already knows them well:
Google Ads & Google Ads Editor
Microsoft Advertising & Microsoft Ads Editor
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Google Looker Studio
AI and automation tools
What We’re Looking For
Beyond the technical qualifications, we want someone who:
Leads by example — you set a high standard for how accounts should be built and managed, and the team rises to meet it
Is the person others come to — when something breaks or doesn’t make sense, you’re the one people trust to figure it out
Thinks at both levels — you can assess portfolio health from 10,000 feet and debug a GTM container at ground level
Builds for scale — you don’t just solve problems, you document the fix and prevent the next one
Communicates clearly — you can explain complex issues in plain language to Account Managers and flag risks before they become client problems
Takes ownership — you treat the portfolio like it’s yours and hold yourself and others to a high bar
Daily Tasks
Account Health Monitoring
Scan for disapproved ads, policy violations, or platform alerts requiring same day attention
Check budget pacing across account and flag any that are significantly over/under pacing (if adjustments or comments have not been made)
Review daily spend on all accounts and ensure that accounts with no spend have been flagged/are being investigated. Accounts with no leads generated for 2+ days are flagged and being investigated
Specialist Oversight and Escalations
Be available as the first point of escalation for specialist questions or blockers
Review any urgent issues flagged by AMs and respond within 24 hours
Triage any tracking failures, conversion discrepancies, or performance anomalies reported by the team
Campaign Builds/Campaign QA
Review any new campaign builds submitted by the specialists against the QA checklist
Build new campaigns for onboarding clients, setting up structure, ad groups, keyword lists, conversion tracking, etc.
Directly Managed Accounts
Perform daily monitoring and optimizations on your directly managed accounts (bids, budgets, search terms, ad performance)
Ensure these accounts receive the same or higher standard of attention you expect from Specialists
Weekly Tasks
Account Health Monitoring
Ensure all accounts have received 2 weekly updates
Ensure that relevant adjustments are being made, and valuable insights being shared
Team Development
Conduct a weekly checkin meeting with each in-house PPC specialist, review workload, assess quality trends, and provide developmental feedback
Monthly Tasks
Account Health Monitoring
Assess the full account portfolio for month over month trends (lead volume, CPL, spend/pacing)
Identify account that are consistently underperforming and develop a structured improvement plan
Identify top performing accounts and document what's driving results so it can be applied elsewhere
