Job Summary:
Tarp Supply Inc. is seeking a results-driven PPC / Google Ads Specialist to build, manage, optimize, and scale our paid search and shopping campaigns, with a strong focus on profitable e-commerce revenue, qualified commercial leads, customer acquisition, and advertising ROI/ROAS.
The ideal candidate understands that successful PPC is about much more than generating impressions and clicks. You must be able to identify high-intent buyers, optimize product feeds and Shopping campaigns, control wasted ad spend, accurately track purchases and leads, analyze profitability, and continuously improve campaign performance based on reliable data.
You will work closely with our e-commerce, marketing, sales, and management teams to grow online sales through Google Search, Google Shopping, Performance Max, and other appropriate paid advertising channels.
For commercial, wholesale, bulk-order, and custom-tarp campaigns, you will also be responsible for generating and tracking qualified leads, phone calls, quote requests, and other high-value conversions.
Key Responsibilities
Google Ads Campaign Management
• Create, manage, optimize, and scale Google Ads campaigns.
• Build and manage high-performing Google Search, Google Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns.
• Manage campaigns for both e-commerce purchases and B2B lead generation.
• Conduct extensive keyword, competitor, product, and market research.
• Identify high-intent commercial and transactional keywords that attract qualified buyers.
• Develop campaign structures around product categories, materials, applications, customer intent, margins, and business priorities.
• Regularly review search terms and maintain comprehensive negative-keyword lists.
• Write, test, and optimize compelling ad copy, headlines, descriptions, assets, and extensions.
• Manage campaign budgets, bidding strategies, audience signals, geographic targeting, and device performance.
• Identify and eliminate wasted advertising spend.
• Develop strategies to scale successful campaigns while maintaining profitability.
• Monitor competitor advertising strategies, positioning, pricing, and promotional activity.
• Ensure campaigns comply with Google Ads policies and current best practices.
Google Shopping & Merchant Center
• Manage and optimize Google Merchant Center and Google Shopping campaigns.
• Monitor product-feed health, disapprovals, warnings, and policy issues.
• Optimize product titles, descriptions, product types, Google product categories, images, pricing, and other feed attributes.
• Work with Shopify product data and product feeds to improve Shopping visibility and conversion performance.
• Segment products based on category, margin, price, seasonality, performance, and business priorities.
• Identify high-performing and underperforming SKUs.
• Develop strategies to improve Shopping and Performance Max profitability.
• Ensure accurate synchronization between Shopify, Google Merchant Center, and Google Ads.
Conversion Tracking & Attribution
• Set up, maintain, test, and audit accurate conversion tracking.
• Track e-commerce purchases, revenue, phone calls, forms, quote requests, custom-tarp inquiries, wholesale inquiries, and other valuable actions.
• Work with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Ads, Shopify, and Google Merchant Center.
• Ensure purchase values and transaction data are accurately passed into advertising and analytics platforms.
• Implement and maintain Enhanced Conversions and other appropriate first-party measurement solutions.
• Analyze attribution to determine which campaigns, keywords, search terms, ads, products, and channels generate the most profitable customers.
• Identify tracking discrepancies and ensure campaign data is accurate, reliable, and actionable.
• Understand the customer journey from ad click through website visit, purchase, quote request, or other conversion.
Campaign Optimization & Performance
• Monitor and improve:
o ROAS
o Revenue
o Conversion value
o Cost per acquisition (CPA)
o Cost per qualified lead
o Conversion rate
o Average order value
o Customer acquisition cost
o Shopping and product-level profitability
• Analyze campaign, keyword, search-term, audience, device, geographic, and product performance.
• Evaluate lead quality for custom, wholesale, bulk-order, and commercial campaigns.
• Conduct structured A/B testing across ads, landing pages, offers, keywords, audiences, and campaign strategies.
• Review landing pages and product pages and provide recommendations to improve conversion rates.
• Identify friction points within the e-commerce purchase funnel.
• Analyze where shoppers abandon the customer journey and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate PPC strategies with promotions, seasonal demand, inventory availability, product launches, and business priorities.
• Continuously optimize campaigns based on profitability, conversion quality, customer behavior, and ROI.
Budget Management & Scaling
• Manage daily, weekly, and monthly advertising budgets responsibly.
• Allocate budgets toward the campaigns, products, keywords, and audiences producing the strongest business results.
• Identify opportunities to increase spending profitably.
• Reduce or eliminate spending on campaigns that consistently fail to meet performance objectives.
• Develop scalable PPC strategies without sacrificing profitability or customer quality.
• Provide budget forecasts and recommendations based on historical and current performance.
Reporting & Strategy
• Provide clear weekly and monthly PPC performance reports.
• Report on revenue, ROAS, spend, conversions, CPA, qualified leads, conversion rates, and other key business metrics.
• Clearly communicate campaign results, challenges, opportunities, testing results, and recommended next steps.
• Explain not only what happened, but also why it happened and what should be done next.
• Develop strategies to improve online sales, customer acquisition, lead quality, conversion rates, and advertising profitability.
• Use performance data to make informed decisions about budgets, bidding, targeting, keywords, products, audiences, ad messaging, and campaign structure.
• Maintain organized records of campaign changes, experiments, results, and learnings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns.
• Demonstrated experience managing e-commerce PPC campaigns.
• Strong experience with Google Search campaigns.
• Experience with Google Shopping and Performance Max campaigns.
• Hands-on experience with Google Merchant Center.
• Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
• Experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM).
• Strong understanding of e-commerce conversion tracking and attribution.
• Experience with Shopify or comparable e-commerce platforms.
• Advanced keyword, search-term, and negative-keyword research skills.
• Understanding of product-feed optimization and Shopping campaign structure.
• Experience with landing-page and product-page conversion optimization.
• Experience conducting A/B tests and analyzing results.
• Strong campaign analytics and reporting skills.
• Understanding of customer journeys, sales funnels, conversion rates, and lead qualification.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of performance data and turn insights into actionable strategies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns, products, and budgets simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing PPC for companies with large product catalogs.
• Experience managing thousands of SKUs.
• Experience with B2B and B2C e-commerce.
• Experience with industrial, construction, trucking, agriculture, home improvement, outdoor, or related product categories.
• Experience with feed-management or feed-optimization platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Advertising/Bing Ads.
• Experience with remarketing and customer-match strategies.
• Familiarity with SEO, CRO, and e-commerce merchandising.
• Experience working with call tracking and offline conversion imports.
• Understanding of customer lifetime value (LTV), new-customer acquisition, and profitability-based bidding.
The right candidate will take ownership of PPC performance and continuously identify opportunities to improve revenue, profitability, customer acquisition, and advertising efficiency.

Performance will not be judged primarily by impressions, clicks, traffic, or other vanity metrics.
