# Outreach & Relationship Development Specialist
**Company:** Smartphone Billions
**Position:** Full-Time
**Hours:** 25-30 hours per week
**Schedule:** Must have availability during U.S. Eastern Time business hours
## About Smartphone Billions
Smartphone Billions helps entrepreneurs and established business owners access capital to grow their businesses.
We are looking for an **Outreach & Relationship Development Specialist** who can help us create more conversations, develop relationships with bankers, and reactivate qualified leads already inside our pipeline.
This is not a position where you simply send hundreds of copy-and-paste messages.
We need someone who is organized, persistent, comfortable communicating with professionals, and understands how to follow up without being annoying.
Your job is simple:
**Start conversations. Build relationships. Follow up. Get qualified people onto our calendar.**
## Your Two Main Responsibilities
1. Banker Outreach & Relationship Development
A major part of this role will be helping us build relationships with bankers and business banking professionals across the country.
You will:
- Research bankers, business bankers, branch managers, relationship managers, and other relevant banking professionals on LinkedIn.
- Identify bankers at institutions that may be a good fit for our funding strategies.
- Send personalized LinkedIn connection requests and messages.
- Engage with bankers' LinkedIn content before and after reaching out.
- Comment thoughtfully on posts to build familiarity.
- Follow up consistently with bankers who do not respond initially.
- Start conversations and identify bankers interested in working with our company and clients.
- Schedule qualified banker conversations directly onto our calendar.
- Keep detailed records of every banker contacted.
- Maintain and organize our banker relationship database.
- Follow up with existing banker relationships periodically so they stay warm.
- Help us expand our network into new banks, markets, and geographic areas.
The goal is NOT to immediately sell bankers.
The goal is to **build real relationships that can help our clients access more capital.**
### 2. Lead Reactivation & Follow-Up
We already generate leads through social media, advertising, our CRM, referrals, and other channels.
Not every qualified lead books immediately.
Some stop responding.
Some say they are interested and disappear.
Some complete part of our process but never take the next step.
Your responsibility will be to bring those conversations back to life.
You will:
- Follow up with qualified leads who have gone cold.
- Respond to and reactivate Instagram leads.
- Follow up with people who previously messaged us about business funding.
- Work through older leads inside our CRM.
- Follow up with prospects who started but did not complete our application process.
- Nudge qualified prospects who have not scheduled their funding consultation.
- Send follow-up messages through Instagram, SMS, email, LinkedIn, and our CRM when appropriate.
- Identify why leads stopped responding.
- Answer basic questions using company-approved information.
- Escalate funding-specific questions to the appropriate team member.
- Schedule qualified prospects onto our sales calendar.
- Maintain accurate notes so our sales team knows exactly what happened before the call.
We don't want leads sitting untouched inside our CRM.
If someone showed interest, we want to know whether they're still interested, not interested, not qualified, or need to be followed up with later.
## What Success Looks Like
You will be measured on outcomes, not just activity.
We will track things such as:
- New qualified banker relationships created
- Banker meetings scheduled
- Banker response rate
- Number of qualified bankers added to our database
- Lead conversations reactivated
- Qualified sales appointments booked
- Follow-up response rate
- Lead-to-appointment conversion rate
- CRM accuracy and follow-up completion
- Consistency of daily outreach
Sending 100 messages means nothing if nobody responds.
We care about **quality conversations and appointments.**
## Who We're Looking For
You may be a strong fit if you:
- Have previous LinkedIn outreach, appointment setting, lead generation, or business development experience.
- Write and speak professional English.
- Are comfortable communicating with bankers and other financial professionals.
- Understand how to personalize outreach instead of sending obvious spam.
- Are persistent with follow-up.
- Know how to keep conversations moving toward a next step.
- Are highly organized.
- Can manage hundreds of contacts without losing track of conversations.
- Are comfortable working inside a CRM.
- Can follow scripts while still sounding like a real person.
- Take initiative instead of waiting to be told every individual task.
- Understand that most opportunities happen because of consistent follow-up.
Experience with financial services, business funding, business credit, banking, GoHighLevel, LinkedIn outreach, Instagram outreach, or appointment setting is a major plus.
## Tools You May Use
Depending on the workflow, you may work with:
- LinkedIn
- Instagram
- GoHighLevel
- Email
- SMS
- Google Sheets
- Google Workspace
- Calendars and appointment scheduling software
- AI tools for research and message personalization
Experience with every tool is not required, but you must be comfortable learning new systems quickly.
## Important
We are NOT looking for someone who sends generic messages like:
"Hi, I saw your profile and would love to connect."
We want someone who actually looks at the person they're contacting, understands why we're reaching out, and starts a normal conversation.
You should know the difference between **outreach and spam.**
You should also understand that follow-up does not mean sending:
"Just following up."
over and over again.
Every follow-up should have a purpose.
## How to Apply
Please send us:
1. A short introduction about yourself using loom
2. Your previous experience with LinkedIn outreach, appointment setting, lead generation, or sales follow-up.
3. Any experience you have working with bankers, financial services companies, funding companies, or business owners.
4. The CRMs and outreach tools you have used.
5. Your availability during U.S. Eastern Time.
### Mini Assessment
Include answers to these two questions in your application:
**Scenario 1:**
You find a Business Relationship Manager at a major bank on LinkedIn. They recently posted about helping small businesses prepare for growth. Write the first message you would send them.
**Scenario 2:**
A business owner messaged us on Instagram two weeks ago asking about accessing $100,000 in business funding. They appeared qualified, but stopped responding after we sent them the application. Write the message you would send to restart the conversation.
We will prioritize applicants who complete both scenarios.
**Please do not use a generic AI-generated response. We want to see how YOU naturally communicate.**
