ABOUT US
We are a UK based outsourcing company working with charities and mission driven organisations. We run outbound calling campaigns that turn warm enquiries into committed supporters, volunteers and customers. Our team is remote, our standards are high and our callers are trusted to run their own desk.
THE ROLE
Most of your calls will be to warm leads in the UK and USA who responded to a
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Call new UK and US leads from our dialler
- Explain programmes, eligibility and fees accurately. Never guess, never oversell
- Handle hesitation and objections calmly and warmly
- Log every call outcome in our bespoke CRM (built on Google Sheets and Microsoft Lists) and keep your pipeline up to date
- Send follow up
- Work from a brief without needing it explained twice
WHO WE WANT
We are hiring an A player. That means you take ownership, learn tools without a tutorial, ask smart questions once and then run with it. If you need daily hand holding, this is not the role for you.
- EXCELLENT spoken and written English. Not good. Excellent.
- A strong British accent is ideal. A US accent is also acceptable. Either way you must easily understand a wide range of UK and US regional accents.
- Outbound calling experience (lead conversion, fundraising, appointment setting, sales or customer support). No minimum years. We care more about how you sound and how you think than how long you have been doing it.
- Confident in Google Sheets and Microsoft Lists, plus the wider Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) and Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Meet) suites, without being shown how
- Comfortable with Islamic greetings and etiquette (Assalamu Alaikum, Insha'Allah, JazakAllah Khair) since most of the supporters you speak to are Muslim
- Reliable overnight worker (Philippine time) covering UK and US hours
- Honest, punctual and accurate with timesheets and call logs
NOT FOR YOU IF
- You wait to be told what to do next
- Your English is "conversational"
- You have never used a CRM
- You get rattled when someone says no
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stable internet of at least 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload, plus a backup connection
- Noise cancelling headset with a clear microphone
- Quiet, private workspace
- Laptop or desktop able to run a browser based dialler, Google Sheets, Microsoft Lists and your
SCHEDULE
This is a zero hour contract. For transparency, we expect to offer around 20 hours per week, but hours are not guaranteed and will vary with campaign demand. Shifts are overnight Philippine time, covering either UK hours or US hours depending on the campaign.
PAY
Competitive hourly rate based on experience, paid for hours worked. Pay is monthly, on the first Friday of each month at 5pm UK time (around midnight Philippine time), by bank transfer.
HOW TO APPLY
Start your application with the words "Warm Leads" so we know you read the whole post. Then submit all five items below. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
1. Written summary (max 150 words): your outbound calling experience, the tools you use daily, your salary expectation as an hourly rate (PHP) and your available start date. Attach or link your CV.
2. Internet speed test screenshot showing download, upload and ping.
3. Video: mini interview (4 to 6 minutes, camera on, headset on, look at the camera). Answer these in order:
a) Introduce yourself: your name, where you are based and your outbound calling history. Include campaigns, daily call volumes and results.
b) Describe a call where the person was hesitant. What did you say and how did it end?
c) Our CRM is built on Google Sheets and Microsoft Lists. Tell us how comfortable you are in both, plus any other CRM or tools you have used daily.
d) What do you get up to outside work? Tell us what a free Saturday looks like for you.
e) What is a cause you care about? Why that one?
f) How would a close friend describe you on the phone? Be honest.
g) What makes you an A player rather than an average caller? Give a specific example, including a time you worked something out with no training.
4. Voice recordings: 3 roleplay calls (2 to 3 minutes each, audio only). Brief and scenarios below.
5. Sharing: send the video and recordings as links that open without an access request. We will not download files or request access. Links that do not open are treated as not submitted.

CALL STRUCTURE
Every call follows this order:
1. Greet with Salaam and confirm you are speaking to the right person
2. Give your name, say you are calling from Ihsan Horizons about their deployment application and check it is a good time
3. Explain the purpose: to answer any questions they have about the Kenya deployment
4. Before giving details, confirm eligibility: 18 or over at the time of travel, a valid passport at the time of travel, which country their passport is from
5. Give the key information: dates, registration fee, fundraising target, deadline, what is included and how the fundraising page works
6. Answer their questions. Only use the brief
7. Agree the next step
Example opening (adapt it, do not read it word for word):
Caller: "Hello, Assalamu Alaikum, is this Yusuf speaking?"
Lead: "Wa alaikum assalam, yes this is Yusuf. Who's this?"
Caller: "My name is [your name], I'm calling from Ihsan Horizons regarding your application for the deployment to Kenya. Is now a good time for a quick chat?"
Lead: "Yes, sure."
Caller: "Great. The purpose of my call is just to see if you had any questions about the deployment..."
HOW TO RECORD ON YOUR OWN
You speak the caller's side. The lead's replies are written below in order. Read each reply silently, then respond out loud as if they had just said it on a live call. Do not read the lead's lines aloud. Speak naturally, do not read from a script.
SCENARIO 1: FRESH ENQUIRY
Yusuf Ahmed, 24, Birmingham. Filled in the Instagram form 20 minutes ago.
Lead's replies, in order:
1. "Wa alaikum assalam, yes this is Yusuf. Who's this?"
2. "Yes, sure."
3. "Yeah, when is it? I don't actually know much about it, I was hoping to get more information."
4. "Yeah, I'm 24."
5. "Yeah, my passport's valid till 2029."
6. "British passport."
7. "OK. So what do I need to pay? And how much do I need to raise?"
8. "How do I actually raise that? I've not done anything like this before."
9. "Alright, so what happens next?"
Your goal: a warm, confident call that covers everything in the brief and ends with a clear next step.
SCENARIO 2: HESITANT LEAD
Amina Siddiqui, 31, Houston, Texas. Filled in the
Lead's replies, in order:
1. "Hi, yes, this is Amina."
2. "Sure, I have a few minutes."
3. "I did fill the form in, but I'll be straight with you, I'm having second thoughts. £5,000 is a lot of money."
4. "Yes, I'm 31."
5. "Yes, I have a US passport, it's valid."
6. "I've never needed a visa for anything. Is that going to be a problem?"
7. "OK, so what's the £500 for? Is that on top of the £5,000?"
8. "I've never fundraised in my life. How do people actually raise that much?"
9. "OK. Let me think about it."
Your goal: take the pressure off, separate the fee from the target, explain how the fundraising page works, make the deadline clear and leave with a specific follow up agreed.
SCENARIO 3: ELIGIBILITY ISSUE
Bilal Hussain, 29, Manchester. Keen, but his passport has expired.
Lead's replies, in order:
1. "Wa alaikum assalam, yeah, that's me."
2. "Yeah, go on."
3. "To be fair I've wanted to do something like this for ages, so yeah, tell me more."
4. "Yeah, 29."
5. "Ah. My passport ran out last year and I've not renewed it yet. Is that a problem?"
6. "It was a British passport, I'll renew the same one."
7. "OK. And is food and accommodation included? Is it shared or do I get my own room?"
8. "What about flights, are they covered?"
9. "Fair enough. Can I register tonight then?"
Your goal: explain the passport requirement with a practical path forward, answer his questions using only the brief, then move him to registration.
