PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING: This role is specifically for someone with exceptional verbal communication skills — naturally articulate, charismatic, persuasive and highly confident on the phone.
We are looking for someone who can capture a stranger's attention within seconds, build rapport quickly, keep a cold prospect engaged and naturally influence the direction of a conversation without sounding scripted, pushy or aggressive.
If talking is simply part of your job, this role is probably NOT for you. We are looking for someone for whom talking, engaging people and winning them over comes naturally.
This is not an inbound customer service or script-reading call centre role. We need someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people, can think quickly, build rapport naturally and turn cold calls into meaningful business conversations and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Make proactive outbound calls to businesses and reach owners, managers and relevant decision-makers.
Previous experience in a similar outbound calling/business development role is essential.
Speak fluent, clear and professional English with an excellent telephone manner.
Be naturally talkative, personable, confident and engaging — someone for whom conversation comes naturally.
Build rapport quickly and communicate naturally without relying heavily on scripts.
Ask intelligent questions, listen carefully and understand the prospect's business and circumstances.
Explain our business and services clearly and professionally.
Identify and qualify genuine business opportunities rather than simply making high volumes of calls.
Confidently handle objections and rejection without being aggressive or pushy.
Know when to continue a conversation, when to follow up and when to escalate a qualified opportunity.
Accurately summarise each meaningful conversation and enter clear, useful notes into the provided CRM.
Record key details including who was contacted, what was discussed, opportunities identified, objections, agreed actions and next steps.
Schedule, manage and complete follow-up calls, reviewing previous CRM notes and continuing conversations from where they finished.
Maintain an organised pipeline so potential opportunities and follow-ups are not missed.
Have good written English, attention to detail and strong computer/CRM skills.
Be self-motivated, organised and able to work towards measurable KPIs without constant supervision.
The ideal candidate can pick up the phone, confidently start a conversation with a complete stranger, earn their attention, identify an opportunity, document it properly in the CRM and know exactly when and how to follow it up.
