Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations lead to join our team at Aurora Wellness (Psychiatry clinic). The ideal candidate will have experience with EHR/ EMR (ideally Osmind) software and possess strong administrative and management skills to support our mental health professionals and patients from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception and Patient Interaction:
Respond to patient inquiries via phone,
Conduct patient intake interviews to gather financial, social, and medical information for admissions and billing purposes.
Administrative Tasks:
Schedule appointments and manage calendars for mental health professionals using AdvancedMD.
Maintain and update patient records in the AdvancedMD electronic health record (EHR) system.
Review, evaluate, and verify admission documents and information for accuracy.
Financial and Billing:
Evaluate medical and billing documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Determine insurance carriers for billing purposes and calculate patient liabilities.
Process billing and handle insurance claims using AdvancedMD.
Records Management:
Manage electronic databases and maintain confidential patient records.
Scan, classify, and file documents electronically in the AdvancedMD system.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
College degree required.
Proficiency in Osmind is preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, particularly related to psychiatric care.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask effectively in a remote environment.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in modern office methods, procedures, and technology.
Strong analytical skills for financial computations and billing analysis.
Excellent interpersonal skills for virtual patient interactions and collaboration with tea
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Familiarity with insurance billing procedures and regulations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
Normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Working Conditions:
Fully remote position with US based (EST) working hours.
Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace conducive to professional duties.
