We are seeking experienced and adaptable Online ESL (English as a Second Language) Instructors to teach Japanese students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. As our company continues to grow and innovate, we are entering a dynamic phase where teaching methods may evolve. Therefore, we value instructors who are open to ongoing training and flexible in adapting their instructional approaches. You will play a vital role in supporting students’ language development while helping shape the future of our learning programs.
Responsibilities:
Teach English to Japanese elementary, junior high, and high school students (ages 6–18) in a one-on-one online format
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons tailored to each student’s needs and proficiency level
Adapt teaching strategies based on feedback, training, and evolving curriculum standards
Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to both students and parents
Participate in training sessions and tea ---------- etings to stay updated on instructional changes
Maintain accurate lesson records and communicate proactively with support staff
Qualifications:
Native or Near-Native English fluency with no requirement for Japanese.
Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Education, English, or a related field)
TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification strongly preferred
Minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience, preferably with children and/or teens
Experience teaching Japanese students is a strong plus
Ability to deliver dynamic lessons and manage classroom behavior in a virtual setting
Openness to learning and adapting teaching methods through training and feedback
Proficiency with online teaching tools; reliable internet, headset, and quiet workspace required
Working Hours:
Each workday will include at least two 25-minute lessons (totaling an hour or more per day).
The expected monthly working hours are approximately 24 hours.
Lessons can be scheduled between 5:00 AM and 11:00 PM (JST).
We prioritize candidates who are available to work during weekday mornings (5:00 AM to 8:00 AM JST) and weekend mornings (5:00 AM to 12:00 PM JST).

?This will be an outsourcing (independent contractor) agreement, not a part-time employment contract.
