JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Online Academic Tutor to deliver high-quality virtual instruction to students from Kindergarten through to Year 12 across Australia. The ideal candidate will foster a love for learning, adapt to individual student needs, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum.

This role offers flexibility, allowing tutors to specialize in one, two, or all three subject areas: English, Mathematics, and Science, depending on their expertise and experience.

Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging, age-appropriate online lessons in English, Mathematics, and/or Science to students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
2. Develop and implement tailored lesson plans based on the Australian Curriculum and individual student learning needs.
3. Reinforce key concepts based on subject expertise:
- English: literacy, grammar, reading comprehension, and writing skills
- Mathematics: numeracy, algebra, geometry, statistics, and problem-solving
- Science: biology, chemistry, physics, and general scientific inquiry
4. Use interactive teaching methods, digital tools, and learning resources to enhance student engagement.
5. Assess student performance and provide regular, constructive feedback.
6. Monitor and track student progress, attendance, and academic outcomes.
7. Maintain accurate records of lessons and student development.
8. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress.
9. Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and confidence in learning.
10. Participate in tea ---------- etings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field (English, Mathematics, Science, or related discipline); teaching qualification preferred.
2. Experience teaching or tutoring students at Kindergarten, Primary, or Secondary levels (online experience highly regarded).
3. Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum in at least one subject area (English, Math, or Science); proficiency in multiple subjects is an advantage.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficiency in using online teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools).
6. Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional home workspace.
7. Patient, adaptable, and student-focused with a passion for helping learners succeed.
