JOB OVERVIEW

We are a US-based media company that produces long-form YouTube content at scale. We are opening a small, dedicated editing office in Cebu City and we are looking for ONE strong manager to run it.

This is primarily a people-and-operations role, with hands-on editing as a backup skill — not a full-time editing job.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Recruit and build a team of 3-5 video editors here in Cebu City
- Manage the daily workflow: assign work, hold deadlines, keep quality consistent
- Train the team to our style and standards (we provide the system and the scripts)
- Judge editing quality and catch issues before they ship
- Step in and edit yourself when someone is out sick, or when something urgent needs to get done — not a daily requirement
- Manage the workspace, the equipment and attendance
- Report once a day to our team abroad — you are our person on the ground

THE 3-WEEK TARGET
What we mean by this: 3 weeks from your start date to having the office running with 3 editors actively working in it. That covers choosing the building, getting equipment set up, recruiting editors, and onboarding them — not 3 weeks until you personally walk through the door.

That said, quality matters more than hitting the number exactly. We would rather have week 4 with three good editors than week 3 with two good ones and one warm body rushed in to hit a deadline. The last two hires especially are judged on fit and quality, not just speed.

This is exactly why an existing network of editors in Cebu is a real advantage — recruiting from a cold start while also setting up an office in 3 weeks is genuinely difficult.

WHAT WE NEED
- ON-SITE IN CEBU CITY, EVERY WORKING DAY. This is not remote and not hybrid — if you cannot commit to being physically present every working day, please do not apply
- Experience as a team lead, lead editor, or someone who has supervised editors, managed workflow, or done QA/review on a team's output — tell us what that looked like
- Basic-to-solid hands-on video editing ability — enough to judge quality and step in when needed. You do NOT need to be a world-class editor or edit every day. Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects preferred. Tell us what software you use and share a portfolio/reel
- Based in Cebu City, or ready to relocate before starting
- Excellent English, written and spoken
- Comfortable with project management tools (ClickUp, Trello, Asana or similar)
- NBI clearance and at least 2 references we can actually call

NICE TO HAVE
- Recruiting or hiring experience
- Experience with YouTube content
- Experience working inside a seat-lease / BPO facility
