JOB OVERVIEW

Steps2Life is a growing multidisciplinary allied health provider in Australia, delivering high-quality therapy services to children and families. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support our daily financial operations.

This is NOT a tax accountant or BAS role. All tax, BAS, and compliance work is handled by our Australian external accountants. This role is purely operations-based bookkeeping and finance support.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations, including:

Daily bookkeeping and transaction entry

Raising and processing invoices

Following up outstanding invoices and payments

Responding to client enquiries regarding invoices and payments

Liaising with NDIS Plan Managers (invoice submissions, payment tracking, queries)

Bank and account reconciliations

Maintaining accurate financial records and reports

Supporting payroll preparation (timesheets, verification – not tax processing)

Recording expenses, reimbursements, and supplier payments

Assisting management with basic finance reporting

General finance administration and ad-hoc support

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in bookkeeping / accounting support

Strong knowledge of Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting software

Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Strong written and spoken English communication skills

Confidence dealing with invoices, payment queries, and finance follow-ups

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Experience with healthcare / NDIS invoicing is highly regarded (but not required)
