JOB DESCRIPTION: Whoever wins this will be rewarded with potential full-time.
We're launching a Regulation Crowdfunding (RegCF) investment campaign for a startup, a competitive trading platform, and need a highly skilled motion graphics designer to create a polished 90-second explainer video.
What We're Looking For:
A professional motion graphics designer who can transform our script into a compelling visual story that converts viewers into investors. This video will be the centerpiece of our crowdfunding campaign, so production quality is critical.
Project Deliverables:
90-second explainer video with professional motion graphics
Kinetic typography animations
Data visualization graphics (stats, charts, market size visuals)
Icon animations and transitions
Platform UI mockup integration (we'll provide screenshots)
Professional color grading and finishing
Multiple export formats (web optimized, social media versions)
Source files (After Effects project files)
Scope of Work:
Reviewscript and create storyboard/shot list (we can collaborate on this)
Design visual style that matches our brand (modern, professional, energetic - think fintech/SaaS explainer)
Create all motion graphics, animations, and transitions
Edit to professional voiceover (we'll provide the VO recording)
Add background music and sound design
Color correction and final polish
Deliver final video in multiple formats
Style Reference:
Think high-end SaaS explainer videos - clean, modern, fast-paced. Similar to what you'd see from companies like Stripe, Coinbase, or Robinhood. Not overly corporate, but professional enough for investors to trust with their money.
Timeline:
Storyboard/concept: 1-2 days after project start
First draft: 4-6 days
Revisions (up to 2 rounds): 3-5 days
Final delivery: ~2 weeks total
Budget:
$250 USD for this scope depending on experience level
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must Have:
3+ years experience creating motion graphics explainer videos
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects
Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and Illustrator
Portfolio showing at least 3 professional explainer videos (fintech, SaaS, or startup-related preferred)
Experience with kinetic typography and data visualization
Understanding of pacing for conversion-focused videos
Excellent attention to detail
Fluent English communication (written)
Strongly Preferred:
Experience creating videos for investment campaigns, pitch decks, or investment presentations
Understanding of financial/trading terminology
Experience with startup or tech company projects
Motion design showreel or portfolio website
Knowledge of sound design and music selection
Fast turnaround capability
Nice to Have:
3D animation skills (Cinema 4D, Blender)
Experience with brand identity and style guide creation
Video copywriting or script consultation experience
Knowledge of social media video optimization
TO APPLY, PLEASE SUBMIT:
Your portfolio - Include links to at least 3 explainer videos you've created (YouTube, Vimeo, or portfolio site)
Relevant experience - Have you worked on financial, fintech, or investment-related videos before?
Your process - Briefly describe how you'd approach this project (2-3 sentences)
Timeline confirmation - Can you deliver within 2 weeks?
Your rate - What is your rate for this project? (Fixed project rate preferred, or hourly with estimated hours)
Response to this question: "What makes an explainer video effective at converting viewers to take action?" (We want to see that you understand conversion, not just design)

WHAT THIS ISN'T:
This is NOT a template-based video (we need custom work)
This is NOT a PowerPoint with animations
This is NOT a quick Canva video
WHAT THIS IS:
A high-stakes investment video that needs to look like we spent $5K+ (even if we didn't)
Professional-grade motion graphics that compete with top fintech brands
A conversion-focused explainer that makes investors want to click "invest now"
We're a funded startup with growth potential. If this project goes well, we have ongoing video needs (ads, social content, product demos, etc.)
