MoveUp Studio is a motion design and digital content studio based in Auckland, New Zealand. We specialise in premium, highly custom animations for B2B SaaS and tech companies. Think product feature explainers, social cutdowns, paid ads, and event promos. Our work is bespoke, never templated. We care about quality and we're building something worth being part of.

The Role

We're looking for a talented motion designer to join our small, collaborative team. To be upfront: this starts as project-based work, not a full-time position. We have an immediate project ready to go, with a minimum of 40 hours/month.
Here's what matters though. We're a growing studio actively scaling our client base. The right person who delivers great work and shows commitment will see that reflected in more consistent projects and a bigger role over time. We want to find someone who grows with us, not someone we have to keep rehiring for.

What You'll Be Doing

Creating motion graphics and animations in After Effects
Working from design files and storyboards to produce polished final animations
Exporting and optimising assets for web, social, and digital ad formats
Collaborating with our designers and production lead to hit deadlines and maintain quality
Contributing ideas and creative solutions, not just executing briefs

What We Need From You

Technical skills:

Strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects (non-negotiable)
Solid working knowledge of the broader Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
Ability to export in multiple formats optimised for different platforms
Clean, organised project files
