JOB OVERVIEW

About us

We are an Australian mortgage broking business based in Sydney. We write residential, investment, refinance, cash-out and self-employed lending across a full panel of Australian lenders. Our team is small, organised and systems driven. We are looking for a long term team member, not a short term contractor.

About the role

This is a genuine parabroker role, not basic data entry. You will own the file from initial assessment through to settlement: structuring the scenario, running servicing, preparing the compliance pack, lodging through ApplyOnline, and dealing directly with BDMs and credit assessors until the loan settles. We need someone who can look at a deal and spot the policy problem before the lender does.

What you will do

Loan preparation and assessment

Prepare and submit PAYG, self-employed and company borrower applications across owner-occupied, investment, refinance and cash-out scenarios
Assess PAYG income correctly, including base, overtime, bonuses and allowances
Assess self-employed income: salary and wages drawn from the applicant's own business, company profit where lender policy allows, depreciation and other common addbacks, and one-off or non-recurring expenses
Review company financial statements, individual and company tax returns, and Notices of Assessment
Work confidently across companies, trusts and sole traders, including related entities and group structures

Credit and servicing

Complete lender servicing calculations and compare borrowing capacity across lenders using Quickli
Assess liabilities, credit limits, living expenses and commitments
Review Equifax credit reports and flag adverse credit, defaults or enquiries early
Apply lender credit policy and identify policy issues before an application is submitted
Recommend suitable lender and product options based on the applicant's circumstances

Compliance

Prepare Credit Proposals and Preliminary Assessments
Write clear Best Interests Duty commentary, lender comparisons and reasons for recommendation
Document objectives, requirements and priorities, borrowing capacity, servicing considerations and credit history commentary
Prepare lender submission notes and keep the fact find, compliance documents and lodged application fully consistent

Pre-submission and application management

Obtain pricing requests, order valuations and run credit checks
Cross-check income, liabilities, assets and expenses, and confirm the file is submission ready with minimal errors or omissions
Lodge through ApplyOnline and lender portals
Follow up outstanding requirements, liaise directly with BDMs and credit assessors, and respond to lender questions and conditions
Manage the file through conditional approval, formal approval, loan documents and settlement
Keep Salestrekker notes, milestones and document categorisation accurate at all times

What we are looking for

Minimum [2 to 3] years experience as a parabroker or loan processor supporting Australian mortgage brokers
Hands on experience with Salestrekker 2.0, ApplyOnline and Quickli
Solid working knowledge of Australian lender credit policy and NCCP and Best Interests Duty obligations
Confident handling complex self-employed and company borrower scenarios
Strong written and verbal English. You will be speaking with lenders and assessors directly
Excellent attention to detail and consistency across documents
Proactive by nature. You chase, you flag risks early, and you do not wait to be told each step
Able to prioritise multiple applications at once and keep every file moving
Able to work Australian business hours
Reliable internet (minimum [25] Mbps), a backup connection, a working laptop or desktop, headset, and a quiet home workspace
Willing to use time tracking software (Hubstaff) during work hours

Bonus points if you have

Experience with an Australian aggregator platform (AFG, Connective, LMG, Loan Market, Outsource Financial)
Construction, commercial or asset finance experience
A finance, accounting or business qualification

What we offer

Stable long term role with an Australian business that values its offshore team
Ongoing training on lender policy and our systems
Direct access to the broker

How to apply

Please do not send a generic application. Applications that do not follow these steps will not be reviewed.

Start your reply with the word ADDBACK in the subject line.
Send your CV and tell us about the most complex self-employed or company borrower file you have taken to settlement, including how you treated the income.
Answer briefly: which addbacks do you routinely apply when assessing company financials, and how do you d ---------- whether to use company profit for servicing?
Tell us which CRM, servicing and lodgement systems you have used, and how many active files you typically managed at once.
Record a 1 to 2 minute video or voice recording introducing yourself in English and share the link.
Include your internet speed test result and confirm your available working hours in AEST.

We reply to every shortlisted applicant. Thank you for taking the time.
