JOB OVERVIEW

We want an editor who'll grow with us long-term, not just someone who cuts clips. You don't need to be an expert yet, but you need solid fundamentals. You'll work alongside experienced editors and creatives who'll mentor you in YouTube editing, storytelling, pacing, VFX, motion graphics, sound design, and creative judgment until you can own projects and make strong calls without constant supervision.

What you'll do

Deliver ~1 polished podcast episode per week, consistently
QC everything before delivery: bad cuts, awkward pauses, sync issues, typos, audio inconsistencies, sloppy frames
Create animated intros, text overlays, visual callouts, motion graphics, and SFX
Clean and balance dialogue, music, and SFX; do basic color correction and grading
Apply revision feedback quickly and accurately, taking on more ownership over time

What you need

Fundamental to intermediate Premiere Pro and After Effects
Solid audio mixing (dialogue, music levels, basic sound design) and basic color correction
Fundamentals of text animation, rotoscoping/rotobrushing, motion graphics, and simple VFX
A portfolio showing clean editing, good pacing, good audio, and basic motion graphics
Sharp attention to detail. Small mistakes should bother you.
Takes feedback without ego, communicates clearly, stays organized
Self-motivated, studies great editors and storytelling, and genuinely wants to get much better
