About the Role

We are looking for a highly creative and performance-focused Meta / Facebook Ad Creative Designer to join our e-commerce growth team.

Your primary responsibility will be to create high-converting static image ads and other visual ad creatives for Facebook and Instagram, targeting customers in the United States.

This is not a traditional graphic design or social media design role. We are looking for someone who understands direct-response advertising and knows how to turn a product, customer problem, marketing angle, hook, benefit, offer, or piece of social proof into a creative that makes people stop scrolling and take action.

You will work closely with our performance marketing and product teams, and your creatives will be continuously tested on Meta. Performance data will be used to identify winning concepts and create new variations.

What You Will Do
Performance Ad Creative
Create high-quality, scroll-stopping static image ads for Facebook and Instagram.
Develop multiple creative concepts and variations for each product and marketing angle.
Translate advertising hooks, product benefits, customer pain points, offers, testimonials, and proof points into compelling visual concepts.
Create different creative styles, including:
Product-focused ads
Problem/solution ads
UGC-style ads
Testimonial/social-proof ads
Before/after concepts where appropriate
Educational/informational ads
Comparison ads
Offer/promotion ads
Lifestyle ads
Premium/editorial product ads
Meme/native-style concepts when appropriate
Create variations of successful creatives by changing hooks, headlines, imagery, layouts, offers, colors, and visual treatments.
Adapt winning concepts into new creative angles rather than simply making cosmetic changes.
Creative Testing
Produce creatives specifically designed for A/B and multivariate testing.
Work from creative briefs containing the target audience, hook, angle, offer, product benefit, and desired action.
Analyze performance feedback from the advertising team and use it to improve future creatives.
Study winning and losing creatives and identify patterns that can be applied to new concepts.
Continuously research competitors, successful e-commerce brands, Facebook/Instagram ads, TikTok content, and emerging creative trends.
AI-Assisted Creative Production
Use AI image-generation and creative tools to accelerate the production of advertising concepts.
Generate realistic product/lifestyle scenes and visual concepts using AI when appropriate.
Retouch and refine AI-generated images manually to ensure realistic products, hands, people, shadows, lighting, proportions, and details.
Combine AI-generated assets with Photoshop/Figma and other professional design tools.
Stay current with new AI creative tools and workflows.
Creative Production
Maintain a high volume of quality output without sacrificing attention to detail.
Resize and adapt creatives to appropriate Meta placements and formats.
Maintain visual consistency with brand guidelines while still developing fresh creative concepts.
Organize source files, final creatives, and iterations clearly in Google Drive or our project-management system.
Make revisions quickly based on feedback.

What We Are Looking For
Required

Proven experience designing Meta/Facebook ads for e-commerce or DTC brands.
A portfolio showing actual Facebook/Instagram advertising creatives — not primarily logos, branding, presentations, or organic social-media posts.
Strong understanding of direct-response advertising and conversion-focused design.
Excellent typography, composition, hierarchy, visual storytelling, and image selection skills.
Ability to understand a marketing angle and turn it into a compelling visual concept.
Experience creating multiple creative variations for testing.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Figma, or equivalent professional design software.
Experience with AI creative tools.
Strong English communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work quickly and consistently in a high-volume environment.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Strongly Preferred
Experience with U.S. e-commerce/DTC brands.
Experience with beauty, wellness, supplements, skincare, health, or consumer products.
Experience creating creatives for products with a direct-response sales model.
Experience working alongside Meta media buyers.
Understanding of Meta advertising metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA and ROAS.
Experience with UGC-style ad creatives.
Basic short-form video editing skills.
Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe After Effects, or similar tools.
Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Nano Banana, Flux, Kling, Runway, or similar platforms.
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role

We are looking for someone who thinks:

"How can I make this ad sell?"

rather than:

"How can I make this design look beautiful?"

A beautiful design that doesn't perform is not successful.

We want a designer who understands that creative is part of the marketing strategy, not just execution.

You should be curious about:

Why did this ad get a high CTR?
Why did this creative generate purchases?
Why did this hook work?
Why did another creative fail?
Which visual stopped the scroll?
Which customer pain point resonated?
How can we create 10 new variations from one winning concept?
Expected Output

We expect the designer to be comfortable producing multiple high-quality concepts and variations every week.

The exact volume will depend on the testing roadmap, but this is a performance environment where we may test dozens of creatives per month across multiple products.

Quality and performance matter more than simply hitting a design quota.

Portfolio Requirements

Your portfolio is the most important part of your application.

Please submit:

Your portfolio link.
At least 10 examples of Meta/Facebook e-commerce ads you personally designed.
Examples of different creative styles and angles.
Examples of static image ads specifically created for paid advertising.
If available, examples showing the performance of your creatives, such as CTR, CPA, ROAS, purchases, or spend.
A brief explanation of which creative you consider your strongest and why.

Please do not send a portfolio consisting primarily of logos, branding projects, brochures, or organic social-media graphics.

Paid Test

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a paid creative test.

You will receive a product brief and will be asked to create several different Meta ad concepts.

We will evaluate:

Creative quality
Understanding of the marketing angle
Hook strength
Scroll-stopping ability
Conversion-oriented design
Visual hierarchy
Product presentation
Ability to create genuinely different concepts
Attention to detail
Speed of execution
Ability to follow a brief
Application Instructions

To make sure you have carefully read the job description, please begin your application with:

"I create ads that are designed to sell, not just look good."

Please include:

Portfolio link
Years of Meta/e-commerce ad design experience
Experience with U.S. e-commerce brands
Experience with AI creative tools
Design software you use
Your expected monthly salary or hourly rate
Your availability
Your current time zone
How many hours per week you can commit
Examples of Meta ads you personally designed
If possible, examples of ads with actual performance results

Applications without a relevant Meta/e-commerce advertising portfolio will not be considered.

Long-Term Opportunity

We are looking for someone who can become a long-term member of our creative team.

If you are highly creative, understand performance marketing, work quickly, and consistently produce creatives that help us improve advertising performance, there will be opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation as we scale.

This is an opportunity to work on a growing U.S.-focused e-commerce operation where your creative work will be tested with real advertising spend and real performance data.
