JOB OVERVIEW

I’m looking for a detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to help build and test Algorithmic Targeting Sheets for Facebook/Meta Ads.

You’ll use a provided ChatGPT prompt + SOPs to generate interest keyword ideas for each column of our Algorithmic Targeting Sheet, then test those interests directly inside Meta Ads Manager to find audiences that fit our criteria.

This is NOT a full media buyer role – you don’t need to be an expert at scaling or strategy. You do need to be comfortable inside Ads Manager and able to follow instructions very precisely.

-Rate: $5 USD per hour
-Hours: ~5 hours per week to start (with potential to increase over time)
-Type: Part-time, long-term for the right person

What You’ll Be Doing

For each assigned product, you will:

-Use our Algorithmic Targeting prompt to:
-Analyze a Deep Research document + product page
-Infer the niche, target customer, problems, benefits, and buyer psychology
-Generate interest ideas for each of the Algorithmic Targeting columns (broad interests, magazines, competitor brands, passionate communities, related niche buyers, etc.)

-Check each interest in Meta Ads Manager to:
-Confirm it exists as a Detailed Targeting option
-Make sure it matches the required audience size range for that column

-Fill out the Algorithmic Targeting Sheet in Google Sheets with:
-Clean, properly formatted interest names
-Notes where needed (why this interest fits, what type of buyer it represents)

-Set up test campaigns/ad sets in Meta Ads Manager following our SOP:
-Create campaigns and ad sets using the audiences you researched

-Track results in the sheet and communicate progress with simple summaries.

Training on the Algorithmic Targeting framework and criteria will be provided – your main job is to execute it accurately and consistently.

Requirements

Please only apply if you:

-Have hands-on experience in Meta/Facebook Ads Manager
-Can create campaigns, ad sets, and ads
-Can use Detailed Targeting to add interests

-Are comfortable with audiences and interests (you understand broad vs niche interests, buyer-focused keywords, etc.)

-Can work confidently in Google Sheets (filtering, basic formulas, organized data entry)

-Have strong written English and can follow written SOPs without missing steps

-Are detail-oriented and enjoy research work (you’ll be checking many interests for each product)

-Have a reliable internet connection and can share screen on Zoom when needed

Preferred (but NOT required)

It’s a plus if you:

-Have a ChatGPT Plus subscription, since we’ll be using a prompt workflow frequently
-Have experience working for an e-commerce brand or dropshipping store
-Have previous experience doing audience/interest research
-Are familiar with testing frameworks (for example, running multiple ad sets at low budget for validation)

You can still apply if you do not have ChatGPT Plus – it’s preferred, not mandatory.

Work Schedule and Payment

-Hours: Start at around 5 hours per week (may increase as we grow)
-Schedule: Flexible, as long as you can hit deadlines and be available for occasional check-ins during mutually agreed hours
-Rate: $5 USD per hour, paid via your preferred standard method (for example, PayPal or Wise) – to be finalized with the successful applicant

How to Apply (Please Read Carefully)

To be considered, follow these steps exactly:

Subject line:
-Meta VA – Algorithmic Targeting – [Your Name]

In your message, include ALL of the following:

-A short introduction:
-Who you are
-Your experience with Meta Ads Manager

-Answer these questions:
-a) In your own words, what is the difference between a broad interest and a niched-down/passion interest on Facebook?
-b) Imagine we’re selling a camping/hiking product. List 5 example interests you would consider testing as Detailed Targeting interests.
-c) On a scale of 1–10, how comfortable are you creating campaigns and ad sets in Meta Ads Manager? Briefly explain your answer.

-Confirm:
-Your internet speed (approximate is fine)
-Your available working hours per week
-That you are okay with $5/hour
-Whether you currently have a ChatGPT Plus subscription (yes or no)

Optional but preferred:

-Attach or link to a short Loom or screen recording (2–3 minutes) showing any Meta Ads account you’ve worked on (you can blur sensitive info) and briefly explain what you did there
