ABOUT STOCK2CASH
Stock2Cash is an Australian, technology-driven eCommerce business helping retailers, brands, wholesalers, and other businesses unlock value from inventory by connecting products with online customers.
As we continue to grow, we are building a stronger eCommerce Operations team to support the increasing number of merchants joining the Stock2Cash platform.
We are looking for a Merchant Onboarding Specialist who can help new merchants transition into the business in a professional, organized, and effective manner.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Merchant Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for helping newly acquired merchants successfully transition into Stock2Cash.
You will work with merchants and internal teams to collect, review, organize, and prepare the information required to get a new merchant operationally ready.
This role requires someone who can work with people, information, data, systems, and competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
You will frequently be working with information that may be incomplete, inconsistent, unclear, or require further investigation.
We are therefore looking for someone who does not simply follow instructions, but can:
Understand → Investigate → Organize → Coordinate → Act → Follow Through
We will provide the objectives, resources, and support required to perform the role.
You will be expected to use your own judgment and experience to determine how to achieve the required outcome.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate the onboarding of new merchants.
- Work with merchants to obtain required business and operational information.
- Review information for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Identify missing, unclear, or potentially incorrect information.
- Follow up with the appropriate people to resolve outstanding requirements.
- Maintain accurate merchant records and documentation.
- Assist with the setup and preparation of new merchant accounts.
- Work with product and inventory information.
- Review product and inventory data for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify issues that may affect the merchant's transition into operations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure required work is completed.
- Monitor onboarding progress and outstanding requirements.
- Communicate professionally with merchants and internal stakeholders.
- Keep relevant people informed when issues, delays, or blockers arise.
- Help ensure information is properly prepared for the teams responsible for ongoing operations.
- Identify potential problems before they create larger operational issues.
- Take ownership of assigned onboarding responsibilities from beginning to completion.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and outstanding requirements.
- Contribute ideas that may improve the merchant onboarding experience and operational efficiency.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate real experience, not simply claim that they are organized, proactive, or hardworking.
You should be someone who:
- Do not immediately pass a problem to someone else.
- Understands that a small error in information can create much larger problems later. You naturally check information rather than assuming it is correct.
- Do not simply complete one step and move on when something is assigned to you. You remain aware of the outcome and follow through when something is still outstanding.
- Can communicate with merchants and internal teams professionally, even when information is incomplete or a problem needs to be addressed.
- Are comfortable receiving an objective without requiring someone to explain every individual step.
Independence does not mean working alone.
- Should know when additional information, clarification, assistance, or escalation is required.
- Can manage several merchants, requirements, deadlines, and follow-ups without losing track of important details.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience in eCommerce, operations, onboarding, account management, customer success, administration, or a related field.
- Experience working with customers, clients, merchants, suppliers, or business partners.
- Strong written and verbal English communication.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with business, customer, product, inventory, or other structured data.
- Comfortable using spreadsheets and online business systems.
- Strong follow-up skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
