JOB OVERVIEW

Do you like tidying up messy data until it tells you what to buy? A growing Australian womenswear brand, selling through ecommerce, wholesale and marketplaces in both hemispheres, is looking for a Merchandise Planner to own its numbers. You'll run the weekly sales, stock and intake (WSSI) and the open-to-buy (OTB), and you'll build the planning systems the brand needs as it grows.

This role is for someone who can work on their own. You'll run the weekly planning cycle yourself, bring recommendations to the team before they ask, and build a better tool whenever the current one isn't good enough.

**What you'll do**
- Own the WSSI and OTB end to end, by month, category and channel
- Produce the weekly trading report: sales vs plan and last year, sell-through, best and worst sellers, and weeks cover
- Analyse stock and sell-through by category, colour, price point, channel and region
- Recommend replenishment, reorders, recuts and markdowns, with the reasoning behind each
- Support range planning with option plans, category mix and buy budgets
- Track purchase orders, supplier deliveries and intake against the plan
- Pull, clean and reconcile raw data from the inventory system, Shopify and spreadsheets
- Build reporting templates, dashboards and documented processes from scratch

**Must-haves**
- 3+ years in merchandise planning or allocation in fashion or retail
- Hands-on experience running a WSSI and an OTB (owning them, not just updating them)
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets: pivot tables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH and SUMIFS
- Experience working with raw exports from Shopify and/or an ERP or inventory system
- Strong commercial understanding: sell-through, weeks cover, margin and markdown
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Able to work Australian (Sydney) business hours, Monday to Friday. From 4 October, when Sydney's daylight saving starts, this is about 6:00am to 2:00pm Philippine time
- A reliable computer, a stable internet connection and a quiet place to work

**Nice-to-haves**
- Power Query, Power BI or Looker Studio
- Cin7, NetSuite or a similar inventory system
- Womenswear or DTC fashion experience across ecommerce and wholesale
- Planning across more than one region or season calendar
- Using AI tools to speed up data cleaning and analysis
**Why join**
- A long-term, full-time role with a fashion brand that's growing
- Real ownership: you'll build the planning function, not just maintain it
- Your recommendations will directly shape what the brand buys, reorders and marks down
- You'll work closely with an experienced merchandise planning lead and a supportive team
- Fully remote, with a clear schedule and great people

**How to apply**
Please put the word **WSSI** in your subject line, so we know you've read the whole ad. Applications without it won't be reviewed.

Include:
1. Your CV
2. A short paragraph (5 to 8 sentences) about a planning system you built or a messy dataset you cleaned up. Tell us what the problem was, what you built or changed, which tools you used, and what it made possible.

We shortlist on that paragraph, so please make it specific.
