## Patient Service Specialist (Remote)

$5.00/hour · Full time, 160 hrs/month · Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM Eastern

We're an independent, physician-owned primary care practice. You'll be the first voice our patients hear — answering questions, managing the schedule, and preparing patients for their visits. This is a long-term role on a growing team, with room for advancement and pay increases as the practice expands.

### What you'll do

- Answer patient calls, texts, and voicemails during US business hours
- Answer common questions on hours, location, pricing, insurance accepted, and the physician
- Book, reschedule, and cancel appointments in AdvancedMD
- Call patients 1–2 days before each visit to confirm insurance, contact details, and completed paperwork
- Record accurately what the patient wants to discuss with the doctor
- Text patients who don't answer the phone
- Escalate anything medical or urgent to the physician immediately — **you are never expected to answer medical questions**

### What we're looking for

- **Excellent spoken and written English.** You'll speak with US patients directly
- Prior experience in healthcare admin, customer service, call center, or virtual assistant work
- EMR experience required; **AdvancedMD highly valued**
- HIPAA trained, and comfortable signing a confidentiality agreement
- Detail-oriented — names, dates, and insurance numbers must be exact
- Reliable internet, a working headset, and a quiet space for calls
- Available for consistent scheduled hours, Monday–Friday
- **Able to start within 7 days of offer.** Please don't apply if you're working a notice period

### Compensation

- $5.00/hour base, paid for 160 hours monthly
- Performance bonuses tied to attendance, call quality, and patient show-rate
- Pay and responsibility grow with the practice
