We are a reputed U.S. personal injury law firm focused on representing clients in complex personal injury claims. We are currently seeking a diligent, highly motivated, and hard-working Remote Filipino Medical Records Retrieval Specialist to join our fast-paced team.
Job Description:
The Remote Medical Records Retrieval Specialist will be responsible for obtaining, tracking, organizing, an entering medical records into the case management system from various healthcare providers as part of supporting our personal injury cases. As a successful candidate, you must have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to manage deadlines efficiently.
Responsibilities:
1. Request medical records and bills from healthcare providers, ensuring that the necessary authorization forms are completed and in compliance with privacy regulations.
2. Maintain and update case records in our database, ensuring accuracy and standardization.
3. Provide regular status updates to the attorney regarding records requests, outstanding items, and timelines.
4. Conduct thorough analysis and review of medical records to identify important information that may be relevant to clients' cases.
5. Prepare summaries of medical records in a clear and concise manner, tailored to suit the needs of the case.
6. Respond promptly to inquiries from the legal team and clients regarding the status of medical records requests.
7. Maintain open and proactive communication with healthcare providers to facilitate timely and accurate retrieval of records.
8. Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals in the development and execution of case strategies.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Medical Records Retrieval Specialist or in a similar role, preferably in a personal injury law firm setting.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
3. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to interpret medical records accurately.
4. Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and familiarity with U.S. healthcare providers' systems.
5. Proficient in computer software applications including MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, and experience with case management software.
6. A meticulous approach to tasks, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced working environment.
