JOB OVERVIEW

As a Credentialing Specialist with AFC Physical Medicine & Chiropractic Centers, you will be responsible for the credentialing process for all our clinicians as well as any claims projects. We are a growing company with offices currently in 9 different locations around the Valley. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience credentialing providers of different specialties with a variety of payors (Medicare, AHCCCS, UHC, Cigna, BCBS, and Aetna).

Essential Functions:
Work with HR to onboard new providers, create initial profile set up for new providers
Completion of initial health plan credentialing and recredentialing applications, ensuring providers health plan credentialing remains active while fulfilling additional request from the health plans
Maintaining the organization or Group in the application process
Negotiating higher reimbursement rates
Communicating with the insurance companies to expedite the credentialing application process
Update all payor websites with accurate up to date provider information
Assist in, research and resolve credentialing and contracting issues
Responsible for CAQH, PECOS, NPPES Maintenance and completing payor demographic update requests,
Assist with license and malpractice renewals as well as DEA
Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications and or Experience:
Certification or Experience in Medical Billing and Medical Coding
Two or more years of experience with Medical Credentialing
Working knowledge of the Credentialing process including insurance requirements and procedures
Proficient Computational Skills using PC
Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office software with strong knowledge of Excel
Proficient knowledge of the Google Suite
