JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle Consultant to support healthcare practices in optimizing their billing operations, improving cash flow, and resolving accounts receivable challenges.

This is a high-level, expert role suited for someone who can both execute and lead—an individual capable of stepping into complex billing environments, identifying gaps, implementing solutions, and training tea ---------- mbers or virtual assistants. The role also has potential to help build and scale a future billing service line.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and optimize end-to-end revenue cycle workflows (billing, collections, AR management)

Identify bottlenecks and implement strategies to improve collections and cash flow

Manage and reduce outstanding accounts receivable (AR)

Provide hands-on support and consulting for active billing issues and stalled processes

Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for billing and revenue cycle functions

Train and mentor virtual assistants or administrative staff on billing processes

Advise on best practices for scaling billing operations or building a billing function

Collaborate with leadership on strategic direction for revenue cycle services

Qualifications

Proven experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management (end-to-end)

Strong understanding of insurance claims, AR follow-ups, denials, and collections

Experience working with small to mid-sized healthcare practices preferred

Demonstrated leadership or consulting experience

Ability to analyze workflows and implement practical, scalable solutions

Excellent communication and training skills

Highly reliable, with strong ownership and accountability
