Role Title: Marketing Technician – Vacarya
Role Type: Contractor, 20 hours/week to start
Location: Remote/offshore but must be available during business hours on US Eastern Time)
Start Date: ASAP

About Vacarya

Vacarya helps professionals launch profitable Airbnb businesses without buying property. Through a done-for-you system built around rental arbitrage, we handle the heavy lifting: securing sublease-friendly properties, furnishing units, creating listings, and delivering the systems our clients need to operate profitably from day one.
We've launched over 500 properties and helped 100+ clients build new income streams, many while still working full-time jobs. We're a fast-growing, fully remote team spread across the globe, headquartered in Toronto, Canada and serving clients across Canada and the US. We move fast, stay focused, and execute at a high level. We value trust, clarity, and action.

The Role
This is a technical execution role. Our CMO owns strategy and your job is to keep the systems running underneath it. That means building and maintaining complex automations in GoHighLevel, connecting tools via Zapier, n8n, or similar, and making sure nothing breaks silently in the background.

You don't need to run paid ad campaigns. You do need to understand how Meta Ads, Google Ads, and Google Analytics work well enough to pull accurate data, update our KPI scorecards, and flag when something looks off.
If you're someone who thinks in workflows, likes clean systems, and gets real satisfaction from watching a complex automation run correctly end-to-end, this role is for you.

A note on background: We are looking for someone who has worked inside a marketing agency or managed tech across multiple client accounts. That kind of exposure means you've seen what good looks like, you've dealt with broken systems, and you know how to spot gaps before they become problems. If that's you, make sure it's front and centre in your application.

What You'll Own
GoHighLevel Automations and Workflows [CORE]
Deep, hands-on ownership of GHL automations and workflows, from architecture to execution
Build complex, multi-branch workflows with conditional logic, wait steps, goal tracking, and dynamic field mapping
Design and manage full lifecycle nurture sequences: email, SMS, voicemail drops, and appointment flows
Configure advanced lead routing based on funnel source, qualification logic, and pipeline stage
Set up and maintain GHL's native integrations: calendars, forms, surveys, payment links, and membership areas
Build custom triggers and actions using GHL webhooks to connect with external tools and APIs
Audit workflows regularly, catch errors before they affect lead flow, and fix them fast
Keep the CRM structured and clean: pipelines, tags, segments, custom fields, and contact records

Integrations and Automation Infrastructure [CORE]
Build and maintain automation workflows in Zapier, n8n, or similar tools to connect GHL with the rest of our stack
Integrate platforms like Calendly, Typeform, ad platforms, and other third-party tools into our core workflows
Set up and manage webhook-based connections and REST API integrations between platforms
Configure and QA tracking pixels across Meta and Google to ensure attribution is accurate
Monitor Google Search Console and flag any technical, crawl, or indexing issues
Proactively identify manual steps in our operations that can be automated and implement the solution

KPI Reporting and Platform Familiarity
Pull performance data fro ---------- ta Ads, Google Ads, GA4, and GHL to update KPI scorecards in Google Sheets
Understand what you're looking at well enough to flag anomalies or data gaps to the CMO
Ensure tracking and conversion events are firing correctly so the data you're pulling is reliable

Website, Funnels and Landing Pages [CORE]
Maintain and update our WordPress website, comfortable making structural and content-level changes
Understand sales funnel structure and ensure each step flows correctly from ad click to form submission to CRM entry
Build, update, and QA lead capture forms, ensuring submissions route correctly into GHL
Implement and manage UTM parameters across all campaigns and funnel links for clean tracking
Apply HTML/CSS edits to pages and email templates as needed
QA all CTAs, links, redirects, and form fields regularly so nothing breaks silently
Ensure the full funnel from landing page to booked call works end-to-end at all times
Bonus: Any additional web design experience or ability to make visual improvements beyond basic maintenance is a plus.

Systems, Docs and Task Management
Document every workflow and automation you build, clearly enough that someone else can maintain it
Maintain organized Google Drive folders and ---------- task boards
Follow up on task dependencies and flag blockers before they become delays
Proactively surface opportunities to simplify or automate recurring work

What We're Looking For
Strong written and verbal English communication skills. This is a must.
Prior experience working at a marketing agency or managing tech across multiple client accounts. This is a preferred background.
2-3+ years in a marketing operations, automation, or marketing tech role
Advanced, hands-on GoHighLevel experience. You have built real, complex workflows from scratch and know the platform deeply
Strong understanding of automation logic: conditional branching, error handling, retries, and data mapping across platforms
Experienced with Zapier, n8n, or similar tools and comfortable building multi-step integrations
Comfortable working with REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication methods like OAuth and API keys
Solid understanding of sales funnels and how all the pieces connect: pages, forms, tracking, and CRM
Confident working in WordPress for both content and structural updates
Understands UTM structure and implements it consistently across all campaigns
Familiar enough with Meta Ads, Google Ads, and GA4 to pull data accurately and spot issues
Available during US Eastern business hours and responsive on Slack/ ----------
Documents everything clearly. No black-box automations.

Who Thrives Here
Figures things out independently. Googles it, asks ChatGPT, reads the docs before escalating
Takes pride in clean, well-documented work that others can build on
Honest about what they don't know and asks for help when they genuinely need it
Gets energy from solving technical problems, not just ticking off checklists
Builds every automation with the assumption it might break at the worst possible time and accounts for that upfront

Support and Onboarding
Most of our core systems and automations are already built and functioning. You're coming in to maintain, improve, and expand on a working foundation, not start from scratch.
You'll have access to SOPs, the CMO, and our marketing and automation specialist from day one. The team communicates actively via ---------- as things come up, and we hold a weekly marketing meeting to align on priorities and work through anything that needs attention together. You won't be left in the dark.

How to Apply
Complete the application form and submit a 5-minute video (no longer) walking us through a specific automation or technical workflow you've built. Don't describe it in general terms. Show us something real. What was the problem, what did you build, and what was the outcome?
This is a contractor role at 20 hours per week. Compensation discussed upon application.
