Role: Marketing & Brand Specialist
About: VanderWall Brothers is a fourth-generation, West Michigan building-materials company specializing in concrete masonry, hardscapes, fireplaces, and outdoor living solutions. As we continue to grow through new product lines, expanded manufacturing capacity, and a broader geographic reach, we are strengthening our marketing team to support brand visibility and long term strategic initiatives.
Position: The Marketing and Brand Specialist supports the planning, execution, and management of VanderWall’s marketing and brand initiatives. This role ensures consistent messaging, strong visual identity, and effective communication across all digital and traditional channels. The position may begin part-time with a clear pathway to full-time as responsibilities and marketing needs expand.
Responsibilities: Brand & Marketing
• Maintain brand consistency across digital, print, and internal materials.
• Manage and update the marketing calendar.
• Develop messaging for product lines, promotions, and company initiatives.
Digital Marketing
• Manage social media channels
• Draft, schedule, and publish blog posts and website updates.
• Maintain website accuracy and support basic SEO improvements.
• Create and distribute
Content & Collateral
• Create marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, signage, and trade show assets.
• Curate photography and video content produced internally or by third parties.
Sales & Operational Support
• Produce sales tools and product handouts
• Update manufacturer and internal product lines with photos, videos, and marketing materials to support sales and sales-team training.
Expected Results:
• Increase brand awareness across the Lakeshore and the Greater Grand Rapids markets, supporting sales growth.
• Deliver consistent, professional messaging across all marketing platforms, reinforcing VanderWall’s leadership in the building segments it serves.
Qualifications:
• Experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Strong writing and visual communication skills.
• Familiarity with social media and
• Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to collaborate with the leadership and sales team
• Building in materials or construction is a plus
