JOB OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Social Media Assistant to join our marketing team at ChainPatrol.

ChainPatrol is a cybersecurity company based in North America. We help brands protect themselves from fake accounts, scam websites, and impersonators online. Our clients include companies like Coinbase, Fidelity, and MetaMask.

This is a part-time, remote role. You will work approximately 20 to 25 hours per week. You do not need to be in the same time zone as us, but you must be available for at least a few overlapping hours with North American business hours (Eastern or Pacific Time) for weekly check-ins.

This is a great long-term opportunity for someone who is organized, comfortable with social media tools, and eager to learn.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. SCHEDULE SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT
- Use scheduling tools to post content on LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok on a regular calendar
- Follow a content calendar that we provide
- Make sure posts go out at the right time and in the right format for each platform

2. CURATE CONTENT
- Find trending news stories, articles, and posts related to cybersecurity and online scams
- Share those findings with our team so we can d ---------- what to post about
- Help choose images, videos, or articles that fit our brand

3. EDIT SHORT VIDEOS
- Edit short videos (usually 30 to 90 seconds) for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Use CapCut for most video editing tasks
- Add captions, text overlays, transitions, and background music as needed
- Follow templates and examples we provide

4. USE AI TOOLS TO SUPPORT YOUR WORK
- Use AI tools (like ChatGPT or similar tools) to help find content ideas, write first drafts of captions, or speed up your workflow
- We will teach you the specific AI tools we use. You do not need to be an expert already, but you must be willing to learn and use them regularly.

- Instagram (second priority)
- TikTok
- CapCut (for video editing)
- AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grok, or others we assign

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required:
- At least 1 year of experience managing social media accounts (personal or professional)
- Basic video editing experience, especially with CapCut or a similar tool
- Good written English skills (you do not need to be a native English speaker, but you must be able to write clear, short social media captions)
- Reliable internet connection
- Organized and able to follow instructions carefully
- Comfortable using Google Drive, Google Docs, or similar tools

A strong advantage (not required):
- Experience managing LinkedIn specifically
- Experience working with a brand or company, not just personal accounts
- Familiarity with AI writing or content tools
- Interest in technology, security, or online safety topics
