LONG-TERM YOUTUBE VIDEO EDITOR — AI VISUALS, CONSISTENT CHARACTERS & STORYTELLING

I am looking for a talented and reliable long-term video editor to help produce story-led English-learning YouTube videos.

This is not a simple cutting/editing role.

I need someone who can take a completed script, finished voiceover, approved recurring-character reference images and clear creative direction, and turn them into a polished 20–30 minute YouTube video.

The videos are based around realistic workplace stories, international careers and professional English.

I WILL PROVIDE:

• Final script
• Finished voiceover/audio
• Approved recurring-character reference images
• Visual and creative direction
• Episode-specific notes
• Examples of the quality and style required

YOUR ROLE:

You will be responsible for creating the complete visual production and edit.

This includes:

• Planning the visuals from the script
• Creating original AI-generated images where appropriate
• Maintaining the same recurring characters consistently across scenes
• Using AI-assisted video or movement where useful
• Using commercially licensed stock selectively for generic supporting shots
• Editing the complete 20–30 minute video
• Adding captions/subtitles
• Creating clean on-screen text and graphics
• Adding basic sound design and subtle music where appropriate
• Organising and delivering the complete project and source assets

The finished videos should feel:

• Realistic
• Contemporary
• Professional
• Story-driven
• Visually engaging
• Natural rather than obviously AI-generated

I DO NOT WANT:

• Generic stock-footage compilations
• Slideshow-style videos
• Obvious low-quality AI imagery
• Cartoon-like characters
• Overly flashy editing
• Someone who needs every individual shot explained to them

A major part of this role is being able to THINK LIKE AN EDITOR.

You should be able to read the script and decide independently:

• When a new AI-generated image is genuinely needed
• When an existing image can be reused with a crop, zoom or camera movement
• When a supporting cutaway is enough
• When stock footage is appropriate
• How to keep the viewer visually engaged without generating unnecessary assets
• How to communicate emotion and story visually

CHARACTER CONSISTENCY IS VERY IMPORTANT.

You must be able to take approved character reference images and keep that same person recognisable across different scenes, environments, angles and future episodes.

Please only apply if you have genuine experience with AI-generated images or AI-assisted video production.

Useful tools may include Nano Banana, Midjourney, Flux, Kling, Runway, Veo, Seedance, Higgsfield or similar AI image/video tools.

You do not need experience with every tool listed.

I care much more about your visual judgement, storytelling ability and ability to maintain character consistency than which specific software you use.

LONG-TERM OPPORTUNITY:

This is intended to become an ongoing high-volume project.

Once the workflow is established, there is potential for approximately 20 completed videos per month.

I am looking for someone who wants stable recurring work and can maintain consistent quality and reliable turnaround times.

PAID TRIAL:

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to complete the same short paid editing trial.

For the trial, I will provide:

• Short script extract
• Finished audio
• Approved character reference images
• Visual/creative brief

The trial is used to assess character consistency, AI visual quality, storytelling, pacing, independent editorial judgement and overall editing quality.

This is a paid trial. I do not request free sample work.

Full trial details and payment will be provided only to shortlisted candidates.
