JOB OVERVIEW

Hi, my name is Toby. I’m launching a YouTube documentary channel around business, entrepreneurship, and corporate America

Part-time, remote, $450/month to start, scaling to $800-1,000/month once this goes full-time, which will happen soon.

About the role: You’ll edit long-form YouTube documentary videos (60+ minutes). You’ll work from a locked script and a scene-by-scene shot list, so you’re never starting from a blank timeline. The expectation is that you use AI editing tools to turn around a 60-minute episode fast, not hand-cut every frame.

Responsibilities:

Assemble full episodes from the shot list using AI-assisted editing tools
Clean up retakes, filler words, and dead air
Add zooms, transitions, and motion graphics called for in the shot list
Handle sound design: music, light sound effects, clean levels throughout
Quality-assure your own cut before handoff

What you need:

Fluent with AI video editing tools (ChatCut, Descript, or similar) and comfortable learning new ones fast
A good eye for pacing and visual storytelling
Can follow a detailed shot list precisely
Reliable internet and a system that handles 4K footage

No specific software or years of experience required. If you can produce a clean, fast-paced long-form edit using AI tools, that’s what matters.
