We're looking for a Logistics Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day freight operations, keeping shipments moving smoothly from tender to delivery. This role works closely with carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure loads are tracked, documented, and communicated accurately at every stage. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience running operations inside McLeod TMS and is comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume freight environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day load execution in McLeod TMS, including order entry, dispatch, and status updates. Perform proactive check calls and track shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery. Coordinate with carriers to confirm appointments, resolve delays, and troubleshoot service issues in real time. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for loads, rates, and documentation (BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations) within the TMS. Communicate shipment status and exceptions to customers and internal stakeholders. Support carrier vetting, onboarding, and compliance checks as needed. Assist with invoice/rate reconciliation and resolve discrepancies between quoted and billed amounts. Identify and escalate recurring operational issues to improve process efficiency.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in freight brokerage, 3PL, or logistics operations. Direct, hands-on experience working in McLeod TMS is required. Strong understanding of core logistics terminology and workflows (dispatch, check calls, BOL/POD, carrier vetting, load boards). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities at once. Detail-oriented with strong follow-through on documentation and reporting accuracy. Ability to work independently and problem-solve under time pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with US-based freight brokers or 3PLs. Familiarity with DAT or other load board platforms. Prior experience in a high-volume dispatch or operations support role.
