Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Logistics Solutions Manager, you will communicate staging instructions to our warehouse team to ship orders accurately, on time, and in compliance with our customers’ requirements.
Duties will include:
• Reviewing and summarizing Routing/Vendor Guides to ensure compliance
• Navigating various retailer vendor portals
• Creating pallet sheets, bills of lading, and instructions for the warehouse
• Creating/ordering carton labels and price tickets
• Communicating shipment status with customers, carriers, and sales team
• Research and resolve chargebacks and fees from customers related to logistics
• Providing freight quotes to the sales team
• Scheduling pickups with carriers and tracking deliveries
• Creating and maintaining documentation for processes related to logistics for each assigned account
• Other duties as assigned
Specific Skills Required:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in logistics.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Systems Operations Management or Supply Chain Management preferred)
• MS Office: Ability to collate/sort/organize data for presentation to multiple other teams depending on data needs
• MS Excel: Proficiency in functions such as VLOOKUP, data table formatting, and running macros
• MS Word: Proficiency in mail merge, label creation, and generating shipping documents such as pallet sheets/labels, BOLs, etc...
• Google Workspace: Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc...
• AI Tools: Experience in utilizing general or tailored AI tools such as Gemini or ChatGPT
• Experience with large retailers such as Amazon, TJ Maxx, Ross, Dicks Sporting Goods, Williams Sonoma, etc...
• Working directly with logistics broker companies and shipping carriers to quote, plan, and execute small-to-large volume shipments
• Experience with shipping direct import, POE (Point of Entry), or X-Works from overseas to cross-border (Mexico/Canada), including documents such as Customs Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, Ocean BOLs, and FCR (Forwarder's Cargo Receipt), etc...
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, and accountable with careful attention to detail.
Must work collaboratively with the Logistics Solutions Team.
Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
Location: Remote (HQ is in Moorpark, CA)
Hours: West Coast US hours 7:30 AM – 4 PM Monday - Friday
Salary: US$800 to $960/month depending on experience.
Employment Type: This is a full-time contract position requiring 40 hours per week. You will invoice us every two weeks with the actual hours worked. The company will pay a prorated 13th month of pay. There are no benefits for this position. The candidate will use their own PC, headset, and video cam and connect to a virtual workstation through a VPN. The company will provide all the software necessary.
