Account Assistant - Ally Logistics

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Account Assistant supports daily transportation operations by scheduling TL shipments in multiple customer TMS, while ensuring timely updates on shipments in transit. This role proactively manages track-and-trace activities for loads and lanes to ensure on-time performance, along with ensuring appointments are scheduled in a timely manner. The ideal candidate understands appointment scheduling with transit times in mind, understanding this can affect the rate in a big way.

Regular Weekly Schedule (40 hours): Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM Central Standard Time with 1-hour unpaid lunch break

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Schedule TL shipments in multiple customer TMS system, effectively and efficiently
-Record and update in and out times in customer TMS systems for accounts to support visibility and accuracy
-Dispatch drivers and perform proactive track-and-trace for loads and lanes
-Extract and communicate critical customer updates to the internal team and, when appropriate

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
-Request pick up / delivery appointments within 2 hours of tender acceptance
-Book Enterprise shipments - 25-50 loads per week

COMPENSATION:
-Compensation will be determined based on experience. All payments are issued in USD via Wise.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics/3PL industry
-Minimum of 2 years of Customer facing experience, preferably within the logistics/3PL industry
-Strong written and verbal English communication skills
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-High attention to detail and accuracy
-Exceptional organizational and time management skills

-A reliable computer with high-speed internet
-Backup internet source (mobile hotspot or secondary line preferred)
-Webcam + microphone for Zoom calls

-Ability to work U.S. business hours (EST)
