COMPANY OVERVIEW
BKG is a home-renovation group in the Netherlands. Our brands include Sanitairstudio (bathrooms) and Tegelstudio (tiles), alongside 25+ other home-improvement brands in the wider BKG group. Customers visit our showroom before they buy, so being found on Google Maps matters to us.
JOB DESCRIPTION
You make our physical locations easy to find and easy to choose in Google Maps and local search. The biggest one is the Sanitairstudio showroom: more than 70 complete bathrooms on 3,200 sqm. You keep our Google Business Profiles complete and active, make our business details consistent across the web, help us earn and answer reviews, and track how we rank in the towns around us. You follow the playbook of our SEO lead and you stay inside Google’s guidelines: real locations, real names, real reviews. About a third of your time goes to Sanitairstudio; the rest goes to the other locations of the BKG group.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Start with an audit: every profile and listing that exists for our addresses and brand names (Google, Apple Maps, Bing and Dutch directories), who owns it, and what is wrong, double or outdated.
Keep our Google Business Profiles complete and current: categories, services, products, opening hours (including holidays), appointment link, photos and videos.
Make name, address and phone number (NAP) consistent everywhere: fix wrong listings first, then add the directories that matter in the Netherlands.
Post weekly on each profile, with photos and news from our showroom and content team.
Reviews: help our store team ask every customer for a review in an honest way, draft a reply to every review, and report fake ones. Replies and posts are in Dutch: you draft them with our templates and AI, and a Dutch colleague checks them before they go live.
Track local rankings for a fixed set of searches and towns, and report monthly: profile views, calls, direction requests, website clicks, reviews, and what you will do next.
Ask before you change a business name, address, phone number or main category, and keep a log of every change you make.
REQUIRED SKILLS
1+ year managing Google Business Profiles for real shops, showrooms or local service companies, with results you can show.
You know Google’s guidelines for representing a business and you stay inside them: real names without added keywords, real addresses, one profile per real business.
Citation work: you can audit and clean up name, address and phone number across directories, and you choose relevant listings over large numbers.
Review management within the rules: no bought, traded or self-written reviews, and no asking only happy customers.
You can read a profile’s performance data and a local rank tracker, and report in plain numbers.
Careful and consistent. This is steady weekly work, and one wrong edit can get a profile suspended.
Comfortable working in a language you don’t speak: templates, AI drafts, and nothing public without a native check.
Good written English.
TOOLS WE USE
Experience with these is a plus. Tell us which ones you have worked with.
Google Business Profile (manager access) and Google Maps.
Apple Business Connect and Bing Places.
Semrush or Ahrefs, and Google Search Console.
A local rank tracker or citation tool, such as BrightLocal, Whitespark or Local Falcon. Tell us what you use.
Canva for post images.
Claude and DeepL for Dutch drafts; Bitrix24 for tasks.
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with several locations or brands at once.
Experience with a rebrand, a duplicate or merge request, or getting a suspended profile reinstated.
Experience with European or Dutch directories.
Basics of LocalBusiness schema and location pages.
360° photos or virtual tours on a profile.
Knowledge of Dutch or German.
AVAILABILITY
Part-time, about 6 hours per week, spread over at least two days so reviews don’t wait a full week. You meet with our SEO lead during Amsterdam business hours (CET/CEST), which is afternoon and evening in the Philippines. A reliable, high-speed internet connection is required.
EXPECTATIONS
You keep our listings accurate without being chased. You would rather ask than guess when an edit could put a profile at risk, and you never let unchecked Dutch go live. If you spot a way to improve a process, a tool or a result, you raise it with your manager.
WORKING CONDITIONS / SALARY
$60/month. Part-time now, with room to grow within our findability team. Long-term, stable role.
BONUSES
Paid Time Off after 1.5 months · salary reviews every 2–3 months · professional-development budget · second monitor after 6 months · new laptop after 2 years.
HOW TO APPLY
Start your message with the word “PROXIMITY” so we know you have read the full post. Then answer these four questions, 3 to 6 sentences each:
Describe one Google Business Profile you managed for a real shop, showroom or local service: what you changed in the first month, and what happened to calls, direction requests or rankings. Give numbers.
Two of our brands share one building: a bathroom showroom and a tile store. What do you check before d
A competitor has far more Google reviews than we do, and a manager asks you for 50 new reviews this month. What do you do, and what do you refuse to do?
You don’t speak Dutch. A customer leaves a 2-star review in Dutch on our profile. Walk us through what you do, step by step.
Also include:
The public Google Maps links of one or two profiles you manage or have managed, with a short note on your part. Only share what already exists; please don’t build anything for this.
Which of the tools under “Tools we use” you have worked with, and which days and hours (Philippine time) you are available.
We read every application that starts with the codeword and answers the questions specifically. Generic or copy-paste replies aren’t considered.
