Job Overview
A growing print-focused business is seeking an experienced Local SEO Specialist to optimize our online presence and drive foot traffic locally, as well as manage ongoing SEO strategies for broader print-industry rankings. This role requires a hands-on, analytical mindset and in-depth knowledge of local search, on-page/off-page SEO, and content marketing.
Responsibilities
Local SEO Setup & Optimization
Claim and optimize Google Business Profile (Google My Business).
Ensure consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) across relevant directories.
Conduct local keyword research and create location-specific landing pages.
On-Page SEO
Audit and optimize website structure, meta tags, and content for targeted keywords.
Identify and fix technical SEO issues (site speed, mobile responsiveness).
Develop engaging, print-related content that converts local searchers into customers.
Off-Page SEO & Link Building
Develop and execute ethical link-building strategies.
Manage citations/listings on reputable local and industry-specific platforms.
Collaborate with local organizations for co-marketing opportunities or guest posting.
Long-Term SEO Strategy
Expand visibility beyond local search to rank for competitive print-industry keywords (banners, business cards, large-format printing, etc.).
Conduct competitor analysis to spot gaps and opportunities.
Proactively adapt to Google algorithm changes and industry best practices.
Analytics & Reporting
Track and analyze key metrics: organic traffic, local pack rankings, conversions, ROI.
Provide monthly performance reports and data-driven recommendations.
Continuously refine SEO tactics to maintain sustainable growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven Local SEO Experience
Demonstrated success optimizing Google Business Profile and ranking local keywords.
Knowledge of local citations, directory submissions, and NAP consistency.
Technical & On-Page SEO
Proficiency with WordPress or similar CMS.
Familiarity with schema markup, mobile optimization, and site speed best practices.
Off-Page SEO & Link Building
Ability to develop white-hat link-building strategies.
Experience with guest posting, outreach, or partnerships in print-related niches is a plus.
Keyword Research & Content Strategy
Hands-on experience with SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Search Console).
Strong skill in discovering relevant keywords for local and broader industry terms.
Analytical Mindset
Comfortable making data-driven decisions and setting measurable KPIs.
Experience creating concise performance reports.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication skills in English.
Self-motivated and able to work independently on well-defined goals.
A team player who can collaborate with marketing and design when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with the print industry or experience optimizing websites for printing services.
Basic web development or design skills (WordPress page builders, landing page creation).
Understanding of local review/reputation management.
Knowledge of Google Ads or other paid advertising platforms for integrated campaigns.
Proof of Past Work
