JOB OVERVIEW

**Location:** Remote (Work from Home)
**Shift:** 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Eastern Time (USA)

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented **Load Planner & Freight Negotiation Specialist** to optimize our transportation operations. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently planning load assignments, negotiating competitive rates with shippers and brokers, and sourcing freight opportunities using load boards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, sharp negotiation abilities, and a solid understanding of logistics routing and mapping.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and assign loads to carriers in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Source freight opportunities using load boards and other logistics platforms.
- Negotiate competitive rates with shippers, brokers, and carriers to maximize profitability.
- Analyze lane rates, market trends, and capacity to make informed planning decisions.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and customers to resolve issues and optimize efficiency.
- Monitor shipment progress and adjust plans as needed to meet delivery deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of load assignments, rates, and carrier communications.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in **load planning, freight brokerage, or transportation logistics**.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable rates.
- Proficiency in using **load boards** (e.g., DAT, Truckstop) and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Ability to read and interpret maps, routing guides, and shipping documents.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Familiarity with **US geography and transportation regulations** is a plus.
