About Us
We are a growing U.S. law firm practicing primarily in Family Law, Juvenile Law, Estate Planning, and Bankruptcy in Illinois and Missouri. We are looking for a highly organized and dependable Litigation Docketing Clerk to help ensure our attorneys never miss a deadline.
This position is administrative, not a paralegal position. You will not provide legal advice or draft pleadings. Your primary responsibility is keeping our litigation calendar accurate and organized.
Responsibilities
Review court notices and court orders received through electronic filing systems.
Calendar hearings, status conferences, mediations, and deadlines.
Check and confirm court dates and filings from various state/county dockets, and obtain court date information and make sure that information is detailed and correct in clio manage.
Enter deadlines into Clio manage.
Create and assign tasks for attorneys and legal assistants.
Maintain accurate litigation calendars.
Prepare a daily docket report summarizing upcoming deadlines.
Conduct weekly docket audits to ensure all deadlines have been entered.
Organize electronic case files.
Immediately notify the attorney of any urgent or unusual court orders.
Escalate any order that is unclear. Do not guess.
Required Qualifications
Excellent written English.
Strong attention to detail.
Highly organized.
Reliable internet connection.
Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
Able to work independently.
Able to follow written procedures exactly.
Expert in english reading comprehension
Expert in english communication (writing)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working for a U.S. law firm.
Experience with litigation support.
Experience using Clio or similar case management software.
Experience reviewing court notices and court orders.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Hours
Approximately 10–20 hours per week to start.
Flexible schedule.
Overnight work is acceptable and preferred.
Opportunity for additional hours as the firm grows.
Compensation
$7.00–$9.00 USD per hour, depending on experience, up to 12 per hour for experienced docketing clerk's with previous experience with clio manage and previous experience working with a US law firm in this role.
Performance reviews with opportunities for raises.
