We are looking for a strong writer, clear thinker and creative communicator to join our team and support our LinkedIn marketing work.
We work with business owners and professionals to help them build their authority on LinkedIn, create engaging content, grow their networks and turn relationships into genuine business opportunities.
This is a varied role combining:
- LinkedIn content writing
- Story-based copywriting
- LinkedIn graphic creation
-
- LinkedIn outreach and conversations
You do not need to already be a LinkedIn expert.
Training will be provided on our LinkedIn strategy, content frameworks, storytelling approach and conversation/outreach processes.
However, you must already be a strong writer with the ability to understand information quickly and communicate it clearly.
We are particularly interested in someone who can take a complicated subject and make it feel simple.
An engineering, technical, analytical or other structured-thinking background would be a strong advantage.
1. LinkedIn Content Writing
A major part of your role will be writing LinkedIn content for different businesses and professionals.
You may be given:
- Interview or meeting transcripts
- Voice notes
- Client stories
- Business information
- Rough ideas and notes
- Videos or podcasts
- Existing marketing material
Your job is not simply to summarise this information.
You need to be able to understand the material, identify what is interesting and turn it into a strong LinkedIn post.
We are particularly interested in story-based business writing.
You should naturally think about questions such as:
- What is the story here?
- What makes this interesting?
- Why would the reader care?
- What is the business insight?
- How can I explain this simply?
- How can I make this sound like the person I'm writing for?
We are NOT looking for generic content that follows the same "hook + three tips + CTA" formula every time.
The writing should feel human, specific and interesting.
You will receive training in our LinkedIn content methodology, but strong writing ability is essential before you start.
2. Creating LinkedIn Graphics
Creating graphics is a regular and important part of this role.
You will be responsible for creating the visual content that accompanies LinkedIn posts.
This may include:
- Single-image LinkedIn graphics
- Quote or statement graphics
- Simple branded graphics
- Simple diagrams
- Thumbnail-style graphics
You should be comfortable using Canva or similar design software.
You do not need to be an advanced graphic designer.
In fact, we generally prefer simple designs.
What matters is that you have good visual judgement and can understand the main message of a post and communicate that idea visually without making the design cluttered or complicated.
Experience creating LinkedIn graphics or YouTube thumbnails would be a strong advantage.
3. Relationship-Building
You will also help us reconnect with people with whom we already have business relationships.
You may be given access to previous
- Who the person is
- What they do
- How we know them
- What we previously discussed
- Where the relationship or conversation stopped
- What opportunities may exist to reconnect
- What would be a genuine reason to contact them again
You will then draft a personalised
This is not mass
We don't want generic templates being sent to hundreds of people.
You need to be able to read previous conversations, understand context and write something that feels natural, personal and relevant to that particular relationship.
4. LinkedIn Outreach & Conversations
Another part of the role will be helping us build relationships through LinkedIn.
This may include:
- Identifying relevant people to connect with
- Sending personalised connection messages
- Starting conversations
- Responding to messages
- Following up naturally
- Maintaining conversations over time
- Recognising potential business opportunities
- Helping move appropriate conversations towards a call
We will provide training on our approach. The goal is to have genuine conversations that build trust and relationships.
Previous experience in sales, business development, appointment setting, lead generation, customer service or LinkedIn outreach would therefore be an advantage.
Who We Are Looking For
The most important qualities for this role are writing ability, comprehension and clear thinking.
You should be someone who can receive a lot of information, understand what actually matters and communicate it simply.
You should:
- Be an excellent written English communicator
- Write naturally and conversationally
- Understand storytelling
- Be able to identify a good story from raw information
- Understand complicated ideas and simplify them
- Be curious and willing to research unfamiliar subjects
- Have strong attention to detail
- Be able to understand different businesses relatively quickly
- Be able to write in different people's voices
- Have good visual judgement
- Be comfortable creating graphics in Canva or similar tools
- Be comfortable communicating with people online
- Be open to feedback and training
- Be organised and able to manage multiple pieces of content
We would particularly value someone with an analytical, engineering, technical, scientific, financial or similarly structured-thinking background.
Your ability to understand complex subjects is important.
LinkedIn Experience
Previous LinkedIn experience is a big advantage, but it is not essential.
If you have previously:
- Written LinkedIn posts
- Ghostwritten for founders or business owners
- Managed LinkedIn accounts
- Created LinkedIn graphics
- Created LinkedIn carousels
- Conducted LinkedIn outreach
- Managed LinkedIn conversations
Please include examples when you apply.
However, if you haven't worked specifically with LinkedIn but you are an exceptional writer with strong business comprehension, we would still like to hear from you.
What We Will Teach You
We will provide training and examples to help you understand:
- How we write LinkedIn content
- How we identify stories
- How we structure different types of LinkedIn posts
- How we write in a client's voice
- How we create LinkedIn graphics
- How we build professional networks
- How we start conversations
- How we follow up without being pushy
- How we move appropriate conversations towards business calls
We are not expecting someone to arrive knowing our entire process.
We are looking for someone with the underlying ability to become excellent at it.
How to Apply
Please do not send only a CV or a generic application.
We want to see how you think and communicate.
Please include the following with your application:
1. Writing Samples
Send us 2–3 examples of your best writing.
We would particularly like to see business writing that tells a story rather than purely promotional copy.
LinkedIn posts are ideal, but articles,
2. Simplifying a Complex Subject
Please show us one example where you took something relatively complicated and explained it in a simple, easy-to-understand way.
This is particularly important to us.
3. Design Samples
Please include examples of graphics you have personally created.
These could include:
LinkedIn graphics
Carousels
Social media graphics
YouTube thumbnails
Infographics
Other simple business content
Please tell us which parts you personally created.
4. LinkedIn Experience
If you have written LinkedIn posts or managed LinkedIn accounts before, please send us links, screenshots or samples.
If you haven't, that's okay. Just tell us that you haven't.
5. Sales / Outreach Experience
Briefly tell us about any experience you've had with:
Sales
Business development
LinkedIn outreach
Lead generation
Appointment setting
Customer conversations
Again, this is an advantage rather than an absolute requirement.
6. Tell Us About You
In a few sentences, tell us:
What is your background, and why do you think you would be particularly good at understanding complex businesses and turning their ideas into simple, interesting content?
7. Availability and Hours
How many hours are you wanting to work per week? And, what's your expected monthly rate?
One Final Note
Please don't worry if you don't meet every requirement listed above.
We are not necessarily looking for someone who has already spent years as a "LinkedIn specialist."
We are looking for someone who has the foundations we can build on:
Strong writing.
Clear thinking.
Storytelling ability.
Curiosity.
Good visual judgement.
Attention to detail.
And the ability to communicate naturally with people.
If you have those qualities, we can teach you the rest.
