JOB OVERVIEW

We're looking for an experienced
Licensed CPA to help a California-based service business review its current accounting and financial setup and establish a reliable accounting foundation.

The ideal CPA will assess our current financial records, identify areas that need attention, and help implement an organized financial system using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Payroll.

Scope of Work

The selected CPA will be responsible for assessing our current financial setup and implementing the agreed accounting solution.

Responsibilities may include:

Financial Assessment

* Review our current accounting records and financial setup.
* Assess our entity structure and current accounting processes.
* Identify areas requiring cleanup, correction, or improvement.
* Assess current payroll, owner compensation, and contractor payment processes.
* Recommend a practical accounting workflow and implementation approach.

Implementation

* Set up or optimize QuickBooks Online.
* Configure QuickBooks Payroll.
* Develop a cleanup and account reconciliation plan.
* Review contractor (W-9/1099) processes and recommend compliance best practices.
* Recommend internal controls and financial workflows.
* Provide clear documentation and an owner handoff for ongoing financial operations.

The exact scope of work will be finalized with the selected CPA based on the initial assessment and mutual agreement.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a CPA with experience in:

* California small businesses and S-Corporations
* QuickBooks Online
* QuickBooks Payroll
* Financial cleanup and account reconciliation
* Owner payroll and compensation
* Contractor and 1099 compliance

Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain accounting recommendations in clear, practical terms are highly valued.

Project Details

* One-time project
* Remote

* QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Payroll required
* No ongoing monthly bookkeeping engagement is required as part of this project
