We are a U.S.-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) seeking a highly skilled Level 3 Technician / Project Engineer to join our team full-time.
This role is responsible for handling escalated technical issues as well as leading and executing IT projects. While escalations are occasional, a major part of this role is planning, organizing, and completing projects efficiently and accurately.
We are a small, tight-knit team, and we work together to support our clients at a high level. This means that while your primary role will be handling advanced issues and projects, you must also be willing to jump in and assist with lower-level tickets when needed. No task is “beneath” anyone on our team — we all work together to keep our clients happy.
We are looking for someone who is highly organized, communicates clearly, and can take ownership of projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle escalated Level 2 and Level 3 technical issues
• Plan, manage, and execute IT projects (migrations, deployments, upgrades, etc.)
• Break projects into clear steps and create structured checklists
• Track progress and ensure all steps are completed accurately and on time
• Communicate project status clearly with clients and internal team
• Document all work thoroughly in the ticketing system
• Maintain high standards for quality and consistency
• Work independently while keeping the team informed
• Assist with Level 1 and Level 2 tickets when needed to support the team
Project Responsibilities:
• Create a clear plan before starting each project
• Build and follow step-by-step checklists in real time
• Track progress and update status throughout the project
• Identify risks and solve problems proactively
• Ensure projects are completed cleanly with proper documentation
Technical Requirements:
• Advanced troubleshooting skills (Windows, Microsoft 365, networking)
• Experience with system migrations and deployments
• Strong understanding of networking (firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive)
• Experience with RMM and PSA tools (Syncro, Ninja, etc. preferred)
Requirements:
• Strong English communication (written and verbal)
• 5+ years of IT experience (MSP experience strongly preferred)
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Team-first mindset and willingness to help wherever needed
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Ability to work during U.S. business hours
• Reliable internet and professional work environment
IMPORTANT – VIDEO REQUIREMENT:
To be considered, you MUST submit a short video (2–3 minutes) answering the following:
1. Tell us about your experience managing IT projects
2. Describe a project you planned and completed from start to finish
3. How do you stay organized when managing multiple tasks or projects?
4. Are you comfortable jumping in to help with basic support tickets when needed?
5. What hours are you available to work (local time and U.S. time)?
Applications without a video will NOT be considered.
Technical Screening (Required):
Please include written answers to the following:
1. How would you plan a Microsoft 365 migration for a small business?
2. What steps would you take to troubleshoot a slow network?
3. How do you ensure nothing is missed during a project?
Bonus:
Include a brief description of the most complex IT project you have completed.
