JOB OVERVIEW

Freelance Legal Professional Wanted – Luxury Fashion Brand (Hey Doll Couture)

Hey Doll Couture is a growing luxury fashion eCommerce brand seeking an experienced freelance legal professional to develop a comprehensive suite of contracts, agreements, and legal policies to support our business operations.

This is a project-based opportunity ideal for a legal professional with experience in eCommerce, fashion law, intellectual property, and contract drafting preferably knowledge under Australian law - or willingness to conduct research.

Scope of Work

You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and advising on the following:
1. eCommerce & Website Legal Documents

* Terms & Conditions (Website Use & Sales)
* Privacy Policy (Privacy Act compliant)
* Returns & Refund Policy (Australian Consumer Law compliant)
* Shipping Policy
* Payment Terms
* Website Disclaimer
* Cookie Policy (if applicable)

2. Intellectual Property Protection

* Advice and documentation relating to trademarks and brand protection
* Clauses ensuring full ownership of designs, branding, and creative assets

3. Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

* NDAs for designers, manufacturers, and collaborators
* Strong confidentiality protections for original designs and business operations

4. Freelancer & Contractor Agreements
Draft legally binding agreements for:

* Models
* Makeup artists / beauty professionals
* Photographers & videographers
* Content creators / social media collaborators

These agreements must include:

* Clear intellectual property ownership (all content owned by Hey Doll Couture)
* Confidentiality clauses
* A strict clause stating that **any privately filmed or behind-the-scenes content associated with Hey Doll Couture must not be used, published, or distributed without prior written consent or without an approved contract in place**

5. Influencer & Affiliate Agreements

* Deliverables, usage rights, and compliance with advertising standards

6. Supplier / Manufacturer Agreements

* Protection of designs, confidentiality, timelines, and quality expectations

**What We’re Looking For**

* Proven experience in contract drafting and commercial law
* Experience working with fashion, eCommerce, or creative industries (highly preferred)
* Strong understanding of Australian legal requirements (ACL, Privacy Act, etc.)
* Ability to deliver clear, enforceable, and professionally structured documents
* High attention to detail and confidentiality
* Someone able to become a partner to be the legal consultant for our growing brand - long term
