We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Remote Legal Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our clients and support our daily operations.
Position Overview
The Remote Legal Receptionist will handle incoming calls, client communications, scheduling, and administrative support. This role requires excellent English communication skills, prior law firm experience, and familiarity with legal billing and case management systems.
Work Schedule & Compensation
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (U.S. Eastern Time)
Pay: $8.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Client Communication
Answer and route incoming calls professionally (no missed calls)
Conduct initial client intake and gather basic case information
Respond to
Take accurate and detailed messages for attorneys and staff
Scheduling & Coordination
Schedule consultations, hearings, and meetings
Coordinate calendars and confirm appointments
Send reminders to clients and follow up as needed
Administrative Support
Maintain and update client information in case management systems
Assist with document organization and file management
Support attorneys and staff with daily administrative tasks
Billing & Software Support
Assist with time entry and billing tasks (as assigned)
Work within legal software platforms (e.g., Clio, Lawmatics, or similar)
Ensure accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Required Qualifications
Fluent English (spoken and written) with clear, professional communication
Prior experience working for a U.S. law firm (REQUIRED)
Experience with legal billing software and case management systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment
Professional phone presence and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in family law
Familiarity with Clio, Lawmatics, or similar platforms
Experience handling client intake and scheduling
