JOB OVERVIEW

At Mad Mex, we’re mad for it! Mad about bold, vibrant flavours that pack a punch, we’re on a mission to bring Australia the freshest Baja-style burritos, crafted with care and bursting with authentic Mexican ingredients. With over 75 locations and big plans for growth, we’re all about fighting for flavour and defending freshness every single day. If you're mad for it too, you’ll love being part of our journey!

About the Role
As a Leasing Analyst, you’ll source, research, and qualify new property opportunities. You’ll perform market research, analyse demographics, reach out to leasing representatives, and prepare data-driven Investment Packs to guide internal growth decisions.

This is a great opportunity for someone analytical, commercially curious, and proactive, comfortable juggling data analysis, cold calling, and multiple site leads.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Market Research
- Identify new site opportunities through direct outreach, cold-calling, and relationship-building.
- Monitor competitors and QSR brands’ expansion activity.
- Analyse demographics, foot traffic, and development trends to support site selection.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified site leads and document outreach progress.
- Compile maps, reports, and insights to support recommendations.

Site Evaluation & Due Diligence
- Evaluate shortlisted sites, including rent levels, trade-area data, and commercial feasibility.
- Gather and verify due diligence materials (site plans, market reports, occupancy details).
- Prepare Investment Packs summarising findings and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of all opportunities in internal systems.

Reporting, Systems & Collaboration
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Keep internal trackers and systems (SharePoint, Smartsheet) up to date.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on timelines and documentation.
- Ensure clear and accurate presentation and reporting materials.

Ad-Hoc Support
- Assist with research, reporting, or presentation tasks as requested by the Head of Property.

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1.5 years in property, leasing, lead generation, or commercial real estate analysis (preferably in the Australian market).
- Strong analytical and research skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of Australian commercial and retail property landscape (shopping centres and QSR leasing).
- Experience with property-data platforms (Pathzz, Geotech) is a plus.
- Knowledge of property valuation or basic financial modelling is highly regarded.

Ready to Join the Mad Mex Familia? If you’re mad for bold flavours and fresh opportunities, we’d love to hear from you!

Please include a link to your CV and your monthly salary expectations with your application. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. We can’t wait to see the spice you’ll bring to the table!
