JOB OVERVIEW

Position Overview

We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented individual with excellent English communication skills to conduct outbound phone research for our entertainment business. This is not a sales position. Your primary responsibility will be to call organizations, identify the appropriate decision-maker responsible for hiring entertainment, and determine whether the organization has an interest in booking entertainment for events.

You will serve as the first point of contact, gathering valuable information that will help our sales efforts while representing our business in a friendly and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
Make outbound calls to businesses, schools, libraries, parks, community organizations, and other prospective clients from a provided list.
Identify the individual responsible for booking or approving entertainment.
Verify and collect accurate contact information, including names, job titles, email addresses, and phone numbers when available.
Determine whether the organization hires outside entertainers for events or programs.
Learn basic information about the organization's events, entertainment needs, and booking process.
Record call outcomes and update customer records in a spreadsheet
Flag promising prospects for follow-up by the business owner.
Represent the company professionally and courteously on every call.
Qualifications
Excellent spoken English with clear pronunciation and a friendly, confident phone presence.
Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
Strong listening and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills.
Professional, courteous, and personable.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Previous experience in customer service, appointment setting, lead generation, or administrative phone support is preferred but not required.
Important Note

This is not a telemarketing or sales position. You will not be selling services or asking for purchases. Your role is to identify the correct contact person, determine whether the organization has an interest in entertainment services, gather relevant information, and prepare qualified prospects for future follow-up.

A successful candidate will:

Consistently identify the correct decision-makers.
Gather accurate and complete contact information.
Professionally represent the company on every call.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records.
Generate a steady stream of qualified prospects for follow-up.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with people, is naturally curious, and takes pride in gathering accurate information while creating positive first impressions.

The ideal candidate is someone who already employed, but is wanting to work 5-6 hours per week for some extra money. Must be able to make calls between 9am-12pm (noon). U.S. Eastern time zone.
