ABOUT US
House of Nannies is a boutique, high-end domestic staffing agency in the New York area, founded by a nanny, serving families across Westchester, Manhattan, Greenwich and Fairfield, Bergen County, and the Hamptons. We run two platforms: our placement service (long-term nanny and newborn-care matching) and Little Minders, our membership babysitting service. Behind both sits the Manor — our internal operations platform, where our team vets candidates, runs searches, matches families, and manages every placement.

THE ROLE
You'll own our technology end to end and make sure everything is wired, connected, and working beautifully. You'll lead a small team (a product designer alongside you now, an AI specialist later) and be the founder's single technical point of contact. This is a senior, ownership role — not a ticket-taker.

WHERE YOU'LL START: THE MANOR
Our internal platform is live and in daily use (Supabase, Netlify, Resend, Stripe, Dialpad), built fast with AI-assisted development. Your first job is to make it strong: harden what exists, fill the gaps — for example, tokenized links so the team can send profiles and emails to families effortlessly — and make every wire real. Notifications that fire, statuses that write, no dead ends. A strong Manor means better matches and faster placements; it's the backbone everything else builds on.

THEN, IN ORDER
2. The placement surfaces families and candidates touch — portals, offers, agreements — implementing our designer's specs faithfully, so it ships as polished as it's drawn.
3. Little Minders — already fully designed and specced, waiting for its builder: memberships, booking credits, Stripe Connect payouts, notifications, and a sitter app down the line.
4. Throughout: build AI into the product using LLM APIs — surfacing best-match candidates with reasons the team can see, and learning from each placement over time.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Strong full-stack experience — a modern JS framework, a real backend, and Postgres (we're on Supabase).
- Shipped real Stripe integrations — subscriptions, Connect, or webhooks. Please name one you built.
- Experience integrating LLM/AI APIs into a product.
- A track record of implementing designs faithfully — you make things look exactly as designed.
- Clear communication with a non-technical founder. You can explain your work simply, in plain words.
- Comfort owning a system that handles payments and private family data responsibly.

NICE TO HAVE
- Flutter / hybrid mobile or PWA-to-app-store experience (we have apps coming).
- Supabase specifically; experience leading a small team.

HOW WE HIRE
A short PAID trial task on our real system (we pay you a flat fee for the trial whether or not we continue), then a reference check. We care more about how you handle real work than about a resume.
