Lead Direct Response Video Editor — JustFloow
Full-time | Remote | Long-term role with leadership growth path
About Us
JustFloow is a fast-growing, seven-figure UK supplement brand. Our products, Genius Mind (cognitive performance) and Aura (nicotine-free nootropic pouches), are sold through paid social, primarily Meta. Creative is our biggest growth lever, and we take it seriously: structured weekly ideation, data-driven learnings, and a kill/iterate/scale verdict system on every ad.
The Role
This is NOT a "make it look nice" editing job. We're hiring an editor who is experienced in performance marketing and has been working with e-commerce brands for over 1 year. If it's in the supplement niche, then that's a benefit. It's key that the person we are hiring understands that every cut, caption, and pacing decision exists to hold and grab attention, show transformations, evoke emotions, show mechanisms and drive conversions.
You'll receive concepts and scripts from our creative team, but we don't want an order-taker. We want someone who takes the idea and makes it better. If we hand you a concept and you return exactly what was written without any critical thinking or creativity or editorial judgement, then this role isn't for you.
What you'll do
Edit direct response video ads for Meta (and TikTok/YouTube) — UGC-style, native-feel, VSL-style, and static-motion hybrids
Elevate every brief. Take our concept and improve it: stronger hook cuts, better pacing, smarter b-roll choices, and scroll-stopping first 3 seconds. First drafts should be near-final, not the start of five feedback rounds
Think in metrics. You know what hook rate, hold rate, and thumbstop mean. You watch retention graphs and adjust your editing accordingly
Produce hook variations. Deliver multiple hook cuts per concept as standard because you know that's how winners are found
Work fast under pressure. We run a weekly creative cadence with real deadlines. Quality AND speed, not one or the other
Own your craft. Study winning ads in the DTC/supplement space, bring references and ideas proactively, level up the whole team's output
Lead as we grow. This role has a path to leading our editing team, as we're on a trajectory to grow and hire a bigger team soon setting standards, reviewing others' work, building our editing playbook
Who we're looking for:
- 2+ years editing paid social direct response ads — not YouTube vlogs, not wedding videos, not corporate explainers. Ads that spent real money
- Deep fluency in Premiere Pro or CapCut Pro (After Effects a plus)
- You understand DR principles: hooks, pattern interrupts, pacing for retention, captions that hold attention, native platform feel
- Strong editorial judgment — you improve briefs, you don't just execute them
- You handle deadline pressure without quality dropping
- Excellent communication in English, reliable delivery, zero excuses culture
- Reliable internet, capable editing machine
Bonus points
- Supplement / health / wellness brand experience
- Experience with UGC creator footage and raw-asset organisation
- Motion graphics ability for statics-in-motion and mechanism visualisations
- Experience leading or reviewing other editors' work
What we offer:
- Competitive salary (based on experience) — paid on time, every time
- Full-time, long-term, stable role with a genuine leadership path
- Direct access to performance data — you'll SEE how your edits perform
- Work directly with the founder and growth team; your ideas get shipped
- 13th month pay and paid time off
How to apply — READ CAREFULLY
We only review applications that follow these instructions exactly. This is a precision role — the application is your first test.
Start your application with the word "THUMBSTOP" in the first line.
Include a portfolio of 3–5 direct response ads you personally edited. For each, tell us: the brand/product, what the brief was, and what YOU changed or added that improved it. (If you can share performance results, even better.)
Answer this in your own words: We send you a script for a 45-second UGC-style ad. The hook as written feels weak. What do you do and give us a real example of how you'd strengthen a weak hook.
Tell us your average turnaround time for a 60-second AI voiceover + b-roll DR ad (first draft), your expected monthly salary, and earliest start date.
Attach a short Loom video (2–3 minutes): introduce yourself and walk us through your single best-performing ad why it worked.
Applications missing any element above are deleted unread. Generic copy-paste applications are obvious and ignored.
